yes! cut your hair! get bangs and cut it shoulder length! hair grows back and you can always use those extensions! i cut mine and got bangs for the first time and i love it! if i want long hair i just use extensions!

I had my tonsils removed when I was 13, it wasn't too bad but after I was healed and everything my voice changed and I could suddenly sing very well. My family thought it was the craziest thing! That may happen to you!

oohh i had tonsillectomy, too, when i was in college...although what i noticed is that after i had the procedure done, my singing voice became a couple of keys higher than what i used to have. my recovery was quite unpleasant, the pain i felt was like a burning sensation which really sucked. the only thing i was allowed to eat was vanilla ice cream for 2 weeks after my surgery. i did lose weight because of it.

Blair I got my tonsils out back in January of this year when I was 22 and it took about a week for the constant pain to subside (day 6 was the worst), and my voice sounded like Kermit the Frog for that week and took a few more weeks to go back to more normal. Honestly, I think it's your attitude that makes the biggest difference with getting through the pain, I watched a bunch of videos of people on KZbin before mine and they were all sulky and complaining, and yeah it was pretty painful, but if you don't let yourself get sulky and feeling sorry for yourself, it's fine, especially make sure you set your alarm in the middle of the night to take your meds on time. You'll be fine :) Oh and I was eating scrambled eggs on day 1 or 2 after the surgery, and cream of wheat and stuff. A few days after I was eating toast, just mushing it up good in my mouth before swallowing. I lost weight, but your body isn't really hungry when it's healing itself, like when you're sick, so I wasn't hungry with what I was eating.

I got my tonsils out 2 years ago. I have a kinda high pitched voice like you and it didn't really change it that much. Maybe it's just not as clear as it used to (while singing) but that's probably because I was able to speak normally a week later (a miracle, I know) and I thought my voice was okay for singing which it obviously wasn't since it had only been a week so that might have harmed my voice a little and made it sound not so umm.. clear

Don't worry I had my tonsils taken out when I was like 6! When you wake up it's going to be a little surprising, and your throat is going to be sore for a whole but you'll be fine like a week later. Plus you get loads of ice cream!!

I actually had my tonsils out when i was 19. Its the worst pain ever. I starved myself for weeks because i couldn't eat, and when i could i couldn't taste anything because after the procedure for some reason all my tastebuds were scraped off. BUT, after a few months of that and not talking like a normal person, I heeled up and honestly it was the best decision I've made in my life, i hardly get sore throats or sick now and i finally can breathe properly, it has even improved my sleep. I hope you have a better experience than i did but i hope the results are the same. :)

I have extensions and I freakin' love them! My natural hair is up to my shoulders and I wear 21 inch extensions, but no one can ever tell that the extensions aren't my real hair. It's totally worth it! You should do it!

If you watched Elle's vlogs, you could see that she had another emergency surgery done with it. And she also mentioned that it's a bigger procedure when done for adults. I don't think Blair was expecting that.

Hey Blair, just a bit of info about tonsils being taken out, and I speak from experience. Had them out when I was 16, between Xmas and NYE. They were completely infected but the doctor didn't care. Also only gave me local anesthetic and together with the infection, which turns your tonsils very spongey, it all just dribbled down my throat and I felt everything, as I was being butchered. Biggest pain though was that on NYE I was busy stirring my champagne to get rid of the bubbles as you're not allowed to have anything sparkling. So make sure you heal up good. Anyway just my little horror story. Keep well.

Wow really? Why don't you do something different instead of waiting on someone wwho is really sick because of her tonsils being removed. Not only that but during the surgery she had to get part if her sinuses taking out. Would you want to film and edit a video if you just had major surgery? I know I wouldn't.

I got my tonsils out a week before Christmas about 2 years ago. it dosent hurt by do NOT eat ice cream. that created mucus and so you need to eat popsicles and drink broth. took me 8days to get my voice back my tonsils were even worse then yours and it so much better.
