Hey I'm Christina DiStefano! I am sort of a jack-of-all-trades: artist, sales director for a top NYC real estate development company, certified life coach, yoga instructor, Reiki practitioner, artist (I'm a painter), businesswoman--and now I'm taking on Interior Design via a certification (I'm starting an Interior Design firm in 2024 lovingly called Casa Serenità Interiors. Oh and did I mention I'm leading the renovation of our country home (inside and out)?!
I believe that home is a sacred place that we nurture, and in return, it nurtures us. That being said, my design process is focused on creating a sanctuary, a place of serenity that truly feels like home.

It was all Jerry’s doing! He always knows just how to make things cozy and festive. 🥰 He surprised me! I got out of bed and the tree was up, the wreath over the fireplace and lights outside. I threw on a few bows this week but it’s all Jerry 🥰 He loves decorating too!

Hi Karen 🤗 Yes Nina! I so wish she could be with us now but perhaps another year longer. Once I finish up my current project then I will be working on my own. I will have time needed to be a dog mom and bring her with me everywhere. Oooh can’t wait!!! Btw, Jerry did SUCH a great job this year. He always does but this year I think he perfected the broth. Jerry is secretly a ham-he loves being on camera once he warms up! We got lucky and are very aware that we found our needle in a haystack when we met. Took many, many, MANY years but it was worth it. Thank you so much for being a part of our Feast of Seven Fishes celebration and in many ways, a part of our family 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 Happy holidays to you my dear!

Hello beautiful! Merry Christmas to you both. I wish I knew you were doing a live - I'd have joined in! I'm not sure where you announce your lives. I will catch one of them one of these days (provided it's not too deep into the night here). Great that you're feeling better, and I loved the peek at the snow outside - what a gorgeous, cozy atmosphere you have in your lovely Casa Serenita. And that meal! When made with love like that, it's off the charts (I'm sure you know the movie Like Water for Chocolate - the 1992 version - about the magic of transmitting feelings through food. If not, it's wonderful holiday viewing - Jerry may love it too being a foodie). We had a Christmas Eve just me and Simon (and our dog-ghter Sophie) and today spent the morning at the beach ( a nearby group had Xmas songs playing, including 'White Christmas' hee hee They spray on a fake Xmas frost in shop windows too around here... in 86 degree weather - clearly the Christmas theme never adapted to the Australian climate! Oh Joanna, you are so sweet! I’m so grateful for you being here 🤗 How funny about the spray snow. I haven’t seen that in years! When was a child we often went to southern California and many times it was still warm out. Once it was a little chilly and I had to wear a jacket lol. It was a bit surreal experiencing Christmas there with warmer temps-with the fake trees-also spray snow-and holiday lawn ornaments amongst the palm trees 😂 I can’t imagine 86 degrees though. Wow! Such a contrast! Yet it sounds like you had a lovely, and loving, Christmas Eve with Simon and Sophie ❤️🤍🎄 Someday soon we will have the same trio! Yes I love that film. I remember it in the 90s. So poetic snd very much a fairy tale. We definitely have VERY similar movie loves ❤️ I just noticed a couple days ago that they’ve remade this into a series! Merry Christmas to you my dear!! I think they may have something at West Elm that has open shelves. The cabinet is very well made and sturdy. I waited a whole year before I made the purchase just in case I could find something better or second hand. We ended up with the first choice after all!
