this is the same as last year and they literally said during the mid season 1 point that they plan to only release 1 costume every character every season for now. Its BS and doesnt make sense why, but they emphasized the difficulty that goes into the physics engine for making the outfits work. So theyve given their answer and people clearly forget easily. Im not defending them, but people need to remember they said this and have been sticking to their word thus far.

I'm glad my boi is even stronger. I've been training to be like Ryu for the last 5 years. I had no positive role models in my life that were male, so I picked the strongest mother fucker I could think of(lore wise Akuma and Oro are stronger) but he will be at that level in time, just like me. Also my instructor thinks my front leg side kick and rear uppercut are very good. Every time I throw an uppercut I think shoryuken.

FGC Facebook or not, clearly there is a market for avatar customization in SFVI, otherwise Capcom wouldn't continue to support it as much as they do. Hell, anyone remember how huge Soul Calibur VI's customization appeal was? Anyway I digress. It's basic economics: if there is continuous good market reception to whatever it is a company is promoting or selling, they will keep that momentum going. Those up in arms about avatar customization taking priority over character costumes need to realize SFVI's target audience isn't just you. Personally, I fine with the idea Capcom releasing character costumes when they deem it necessary. However, that said, I do understand the frustration towards the long intervals between such content releases.

Bison getting stand jabbed out of his devil reverse made me laugh so much 😂 I like how capcom really seem to be trying to nerf gimmicks that are brain dead while still trying to keep the character intact, bison will still be strong, but the headstomp devil reverse bs was pretty dumb. Even way back they had this mentality when they nerfed Honda headbutt. I feel for the Honda mains though since they didn't give him significant buffs to make up for it.

I think the FGC, at least the competitive side, overestimates how big and important they are to these companies. They are a very small minority compared to the rest of the playerbase, and even moreso to the mainstream gamining audience. Capcom will cater to the majority and try to bring them in and get their money. Thats just the reality.

This is pure supposition on my part, but have a sneaky feeling that the engine switch and the choices made regarding graphics may have made making good looking costumes less profitable, whereas it doesn't matter that much if avatar costumes look jank or hit performance.

The hard work is done already - The characters are all modeled, rigged, animated, code in place for them to function. Cloth and hair are simulated as well. That's all the hard work. Adding a few extra polygons here and there for a COSTUME is trivial. Look how many good quality mods exist for costumes from people that don't even have access to the pipeline and are just modding them in. Look at their costume output in SFV. Its very obvious they pulled most of their team to work on Monster Hunter.

I love the dress up for the aviator character - But capcom knows where the true money is, the casual fan. Yes the hardcore FGC heads are a factor, but they don't spend that much money on these things. They spend money to try and win money with travel and lodging and things like that. The casual fan is not going to CPT or EVO or any of the other major tournaments where capcom has to shell out mad money to endorse the situation. The wheelhouse capcom is going for is the semi-casual. The one who enjoys the challenges and rewards system. But has little motivation to grind 100 hours a week on their game. Let's see what the hardcore audience will say when Mai comes out in less than a couple months from now.

Here's the thing I don't think people who complain about the Avatar content being put over the Character content take into account. The Avatar content isn't as expensive and alot of it is unlockable simply by playing the game. The Character costumes aren't, AND they are expensive. Worse case scenario, I have to buy a battle pass to unlock more Avatar content, but again, that's better than paying what? 6 BUCKS per character? 😂😂

Honestly regarding some with the outfit argument, kinda idiotic when people blame players playing the same game, as if MH doesn't make Capcom bend over backwards and with the lack of SF6 costumes and the entirety of Dragons Dogma 2, I'd have thought FGC guys would be smart enough to know why they don't have an outfit 4/5 by now. Tbh, the patch WASN'T major. Akuma and Bison are still gonna be top tier. Ed and Cammy will go from top tier to high tier. The Patch was super fair, and this game DOES needs a shake. Unfortunately, Drive Rush is a CORE feature, and the game is just too dependent on it to work. In the end, it´s all about a 50/50 if you´re getting a throw, and trying to get that down medium and go to Drive rush and the best optimal combo you can perform consistently. To Punish one frame expanded hurtbox? That is hardly relevant for 99,999% of the mortals.

As a lily main we got basicly nothing.. Target combo is still dog tier and the light chage is so meh.. Overall with the jump cancel nerfs across the board she easily has dropped into bottom 5.. I will be in forever throw loop hell with her in the corner on def. And the "buffs" to her offense are so lack luster.. Really is a shame they are afraid to give her any type of sauce at all.

I wanted so bad, SO BADLY to like SF6. The hype was off the charts in the build up to release. I had my hard copy on Day 1. But Capcom has done too many things for me to get on board. Blatantly ignoring seemingly obvious problems, while overreacting to others. Unveiled, easy to spot favoritism. Constantly pushing avatar crap down our throats, knowing full we we don't care, while also flat out ignoring what they absolutely do know we want (COSTUMES!!). I'm sorry. But I think I may have to sit out the rest of this game's life cycle. Capcom is behaving exactly how Bungie does with Destiny and Blizzard did with WoW for years.

FGC pros and try hards ( which only make up about 15% to 20% of the Fighting game buyers) care about the game play. Casual players ( which make up 70% of the buyers and players) care about cosmetics.
