idk hpw to say thank you enough when reviewers get out of the Rolex, Tudor and Omega zone. KZbin should add a super like button

I kind of like the look of the watch but not so sure about its theme. Not exactly celebrating being the first watch on the moon.
@Eikenhorst3 ай бұрын
This might sound crazy to the watch snobs, but I would buy this if it was a quarts watch. Without a second hand you wouldn't notice the smoother sweeping motion of the mechanical watch. Unless you look at the case back, you only notice downsides to this being mechanical, you have to wind it daily, it is less accurate and more sensitive to shocks and of course more expensive.

Kudos Jenni Elle; I think you are the only KZbin reviewer who apparently bothered to ask Maen how they pronounce their brand. Your attention to detail is what makes you a valued reviewer.

If Maen could deliver the watch I ordered last year...that would be great. Lack of communication is an understatement.

It was love at first sight for me when i saw the collab. Ordered one immediately. Always a fan of the Manhattan but felt something was missing. I just wish they kept the open caseback.
@Z-Man19734 ай бұрын
Thank you, thank you, thank you for NOT doing another video on Rolex, Tudor. or Omega. I had never heard of Maen until now, and although their watches are too small for my wrists, I think they're very handsome timepieces. The Manhattan collection is a fresh take on the integrated sports watch; very well executed. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and uniqueness. Please keep doing these videos on the largely unknown watch brands. The greater collecting community should appreciate these.

Not one for me, but I can see the appeal. Personally I would like some polished batons to mark the hours, but I know that the goal was to put the stripping on the dial front and centre and not to have anything that would distract from that dial.

A cool Sellita based watch. Will sell if it’s cheap. However at €1200 it is expensive and only the limited run fans will fork out the premium for the exclusivity. Whatever rocks the boat….

History is so absurd sometimes. A watch commemorating the invention of the most effective killing machine of all time. Imagine Nazi Germany winning the War and us talking about the new cool IG Farben Watch…hmm…We kind of do something similar with all the Flieger Watches come to think of it. Watch collecting is crazy. 😂
@thedaveaftertomorrow4 ай бұрын
Agree, it’s a very weird thing to commemorate on a watch

Oppenheimer's work saved millions of lives in Japan and hundreds of thousands of Allied troops lives. But for the atomic bombs they would not have surrendered and millions of Japanese would have been killed in the planned blockade and invasion of the Japanese home islands.

How it wears, no micro adjustment?. I noticed that there was a huge gap between the bracelet and your wrist which makes it look like it doesn’t fit you properly,perhaps made for a bigger wrist.

I have noticed that they often don't size the watch when it's just a review piece. Might be the case here?

Very interesting. It is ok for them to create 'hype' by announcing and advertising a limited edition for a fashion mall type watch that uses cheap third party movements. Limited edition implies 'hard to get or get it while you can'. However when brands like Rolex genuinely become limited and hard to get because of genuine demand, then it is not OK, and everyone hates them.

I agree, memorializing the atom bomb into a watch seems distasteful. But watch collectors will buy anything if you tell them it's sold in a limited quantity. This is one of those gimmicks.
