It's EXTRA day!!! Which one will it be??

TUTORIAL DESCRIPTION:
In this video I am using a piece I made with left over resin from a previous project (the dominoes) It was red, white and blue resin so I made a footed base with it.
My idea for this footed base was to put something big on it, so I decided to make a snow globe. I used a 4" round by 4" deep sphere mold that has a tealight space on top. I used Lets Resin casting resin. for the globe part I used a plastic clear Christmas ornament that I filled with red, white and blue glitter and then filled it with a mix of half distilled water and half glycerin. To close this, I cut a piece of shaker film the size of the circle and used Lets Resin UV resin to seal it closed. I then inserted that into the mold and poured 15oz of resin into the mold. I used pop sticks to stabilize the globe so it wouldn't float. Let that cure and then topped off the remaining 3oz with a blue chrome glitter mixed with a silver mica powder.

I love love that snow globe! Perfectly creative. Oh my goodness that light is so perfect. It made me smile too. It is so cute! I am 68 years old and I still love snow globes. I got one for Christmas a couple of years ago. I love coloured lights too so I think it is the best globe ever!

Love it, but a LED base would be even cooler!!! And the little nub at the bottom would probably fit into the recess in most wooden LED bases made for crystal balls, etc. that I've seen. They come in warm and cool white as well as color changing too!

Try a balloon, or even a wax candle. Support them so that they don't sink. For the balloon, you can pop it once done and make whatever you want inside. For the candle, you heat it like a lost wax creation, and make your inside from there.

@@resinmeup Absolutely. I've been training service dogs for over 15 years now. My twin sister owns Sunstone Service Dogs in St. Helens, Oregon. She's really the expert, as I am not able to have a career or family, due to disability. But these are time honored methods to train our fur buddies, and it'll work better with the pups, but it'll still help the adults!

Very cool! What if you made a little cup for the tealight that hid the white plastic? A thin resin surround for it. Maybe the bottom part colored and the part that surrounds the bulb clear so the light shows. It would hide all that white plastic...
