It's Fall, It's North Georgia, It's So Much Fun!

#ilovervlife #northgeorgia #georgiacamping Joan and I enjoy the North Georgia mountains and surrounding foothills during the Fall season. We returned this year to Leisure Acres Campground, one of our favorite campgrounds located in the foothills. This is a great area that is close to Cleveland, Dahlonega, and Helen. This area is rich in hiking trails from the simple stroll to those that can be challenging. There are a number of vineyards on both sides of the mountains and for those that enjoy wine, the variety and quality is really special. We continue to return year after year. For Joan and I, the North Georgia mountains are a special place.

We live in NW Ga and got really tired of all that rain too. But, we lucked out with a full weekend of beautiful weather for some camping at McKinney in Acworth. Some kinda pretty! Amazing sunset views from our site.

Courtney, that’s a great spot. In the 90’s, we lived nearby and would go to several spots around the lake. Red Top is nice too. In the summers we would take the kids to Allatoona Beach. Great memories.

As soon as you said you were on a windy road (7:30), a sign passed you that reminded me of the windy road Pee Wee Herman was driving during his Big Adventure.. lol That was funny.. Fall is definitely in the mountains. 48 degrees this morning. We hike the Blood Mountain and Freeman Trails this weekend. (Video next week) Layers were definitely our friend. I with you on the diving bell.

We didn’t visit Cavender creek last April. Will definitely go to that one next April. We started celebrating our anniversary at Leisure Acres. Our favorite trail is Raven Cliff falls. Last week in Marion NC we were going to try Keepers Cut meadery for some honey wine but it was closed the days we were there.

Just drove down I-81 from PA to TN on the way to GA. Gorgeous and stunning views along the route in VA. Some fall foliage now, but should definitely be awesome soon! Safe and happy travels !!

We take I75, I675, I285 east, I85, I95 to US129 to Cleveland. Best time around Atlanta between 10am and 11am. Leisure Acres Campground. 15 minutes to Dahlonega or Helen.

Nathan, the King Jack is working out well. Favorite feature is the signal strength LEDs. Makes it easier to zero in on the towers.

Our antenna was a fraction of that cost at $130. amzn.to/3BnTJE0. Our batwing fell apart and we had to replace. If the existing antenna is in good shape and working, I’d stay the course.
