Great series, thanks for sharing the project, you should be very proud! I wonder if the addition a small tool chest of organised sockets, spanners, drivers etc would bring even more joy. It’s great being able to put your hand on a the right tools quickly when tinkering on cars/bikes.

Gutters/ Barrel. That barrel will take 5 mins to fill You’ll need to put a proper drain / soak away in else all the water from the rod will make area near the door a mess. Will look out for you on the treadmill on Zwift. Surprised you didn’t go with KIKR RUN. Enjoy it!

There are dowpipes and soak aways on the other two sides so it’s not doing the whole roof 👍

Construction projects always costs always run over by quite a bit (I always just double my estimate), but ultimately it will pay off. Great start to what will be a great new year for the channel. Fantastic series of videos!! What I love about renovations and builds like this is that at some point somebody (without even realising) must have made the final brush stroke, or inserted the last screw, or made the final brush sweep to make the garage complete. Well done Ped, a fantastic outcome to a very high standard of finish. You were very fortunate to find a first class team of contractors who shared your vision of the desired outcome and delivered it in spades. The door solution is brilliant, again a first class craftsman at work. The interior layout and finishes is simple but elegant and very adaptable for what you wish to display. As a retired Civil Engineer I was able to put a price to the work of that quality and we are probably in the same ballpark. Footnote - I really like the hexagon lighting.❤ Best Wishes to you both for Christmas and the New Year 🎅🥂🎄

Absolutely brilliant Ped. Massive congrats and job well done by your contractors. Being an engineer that likes tinkering with car mechanics it’s not what I would build - I would have more of a workshop layout but a garage is as personal as a tool kit - i.e. it suits you and that’s what counts. Must admit though being a bit OCD, those garage doors from the inside would bug the hell out of me as the bracing (excuse the term if wrong, I’m not a chippy) is off centre and not balanced 😟. Overall though your cars look like they are in your house! PS must say I love the wheel design on Ruby - stunning 🙂

I can see why you want the shiplap to match the grey of the house but that bit is round the corner, think if you used some type of say light brown Creosote it would look very striking, as would still see the colour of the timber through it, would be darker than it is currently, it gives the wood good protection. You could try something like that on a little bit and if not for you then can easily paint over with the grey paint.

Mentioned it in a previous video, you need to get a Wahoo Kickr Climb to replace your front wheel on your turbo trainer set up. Makes Zwift so much more immersive, you definitely know your cycling up hill and takes Zwift and turbo training up another notch. Then get yourself a rocker plate, so much more comfortable and kinder to your body and bike.
