I've got the estate Sportline 85x. I'm in the UK and I love it. It's two months old now and I still get excited when I get in. I'm totally converted.

I like the little things. Umbrella in the door (like a Rolls). When you go to get out, the seat moves back to give you more room. There are lots of little things with Skoda. You need to look at the menu's and read the manual.

I've just got the same one it's a very nice car, effortless to drive. Lots of nice touches like the umbrella. Having the electric boot and drivers seat makes the extra money worth paying what is your average miles per kwh . Mine is around 4 I'm am still playing with the power it's kind of addictive lol

I love the light up grill! One of the things that draws me to this is the fact that you don't lose much boot space in comparison to the big back non coupé version.

Enyaq isn't Škoda's first BEV. That would be the 1990's Favorit, which they only produced tens of units for local Post and to this day less than 5 survived. Then, there's the 2020 Citigo e-iV (same thing as e-Up). No other EVs by Škoda were made. I've seen electric 1st gen Fabia and Roomster, but those are EV-swaps

Does it make sence now the Skoda Elroq has premiere 1st October here in Denmark..? Will that come to Australia..? I think that would be a better deal since it's basically the same car.. just 15-17cm shorter. and way cheaper.

Thanks for the review. This car makes the Toyota bZ4X / Subaru Solterra look... inadequate. That said, it's still $10k+ too much, and the lack of a spare tyre combined with the big glass roof reduces its "fitness" for Australia. The city range is extraordinary... Out of interest, what is the WLTP extra-urban range?

Hi Kev from the UK glad you like your enyaq l to get excited about my enyaq 85x sportline plus hatchback and that was 3 months ago l am still finding new gadgets and collecting points for daily challenges in the app living in the UK now it’s getting colder l pre heat the cabin toasty on cold mornings before l get in they are truely an amazing cars l hope you love it like me Happy EV driving Kev

It makes very little sense to bring the coupe to Aust first. The wagon is always going to be a far more popular model.

I can’t work out why the coupe cost more and you would have to think appealing to more customers will make more dollars. Interesting car though, seems like a great way to get into an electric car without having to drive a spaceship.

Love the Ioniq-5 Dual motor, but gosh agree, lots of great choices. I even like the E-Mach. Was surprised as how Model-Y looking it is, but I'd buy this over a Tesla. It's avery handsome thing.

Another great review thanks matt. 🤔, seems like all these EVs starting to look all the same. Not saying it looks bad, we still need physical buttons to make it a little bit easier so we don’t get distracted. Yeah Not a fan of the front design 🫣. And just want point out, a car able to drive fast means nothing in Sydney as there’s speed humps everywhere and theres like 50 million speed signs everywhere you go 🤦‍♂️.

Life is always about options, the Enyaq Coupe is a lovely car in my opinion the light up grill does look really neat, I’ve got a Sportline Line plus 85x, the VRs version is slightly quicker but nothing noticeable, The Ioniq 5 loos pretty naff my opinion, ID 4 and 5 looks decent I prefer the Enyaq but pretty close, the Tesla yes when they first come out looked decent but so many on the road bored of them. Ive watched so May reviews on the Enyaq and it really has mixed reviews some love it some think it’s ok so don’t like it what I would say is test drive it and make your own mind up that’s what I did a fell in love straight away.

I've just got the all wheel drive estate. Just under £50,000 for the last 6 years I've been driving ( from new ) a Toyota rav 4 so that's my comparison. So far very impressed easy to drive and fairly fast, lots of toys and a far better sat nav than the Toyota. Road holding is better than expected I'm getting around 4 miles per kwh . Boots smaller and I miss the extra bit of hight. Laura works well though I do need to press the button on the steering wheel to wake her up. The app is basic but works well. After criticising ev's for a number of years I figured I'd better try one. Bear in mind they are not as environmentally friendly as they are made out to be . They do move some pollution out of cities but even if it is charged by green energy it'll take 60,000 miles until its offset that environmental impact to make compared to a petrol/ diesel vehicle. They are fun to drive but have limitations, as with everything choose wisley even some of the well known brands are dangerously floored, depreciation is excessive.

Test drove the sport line today. At 6’2” in the back seat I am head butting the roof! Going to be a deal breaker for me. I loved everything else about it otherwise. Damn coupe European efficiency targets. Guess I’ll just have to wait for the regular version…

I have questions. Rear door side blinds but not on the glass roof? If the top glass has special filters to reduce glare and heat then why don't the side windows? Is this filmed in a green environment not a carpark because of manufacturer requirements to influence "'supposed" environmental benefits? Why do they continue making them more powerful, larger and heavier? When will the small sleek cars with low profiles based on better efficiency start appearing? Bigger isn't always better and how much room do people really need just to go from point A to point B? In a world of consumerism they want you to buy bigger and more expensive, despite that meaning more burden on planetary resources, which we're supposed to be reducing.

I like Skodas, but their first EV in Australia doesn’t attract me on looks alone, it’s practical, it does look like a traditional Skoda inside, but on the outside the plastic fake grill looks awful and I’m not too keen on the coupe/hunchback design. Nice seats and it drives and rides well. It’s the external design I don’t like. I love one pedal driving, this Skoda seems okay, but not perfect. So a decent car, but not for me. Thanks for a great review.

Like the car even I prefer its twin Cupra Tavascan much more. The problem is its price. If you compare it to the upcoming Chinese EVs e.g. XPeng G6, it might struggle to sell...

I agree about the base model. I have one on order in the UK and 26:15 the base model has all I need on it. It's due mid November.

I have had a base model iv 60 in the UK for two years now. I love it. I didn't pay for a light up grille, heated seats, an electric tailgate or any of the additional bright shiny things. Saved myself a load of money and there's less to go wrong. The 60kWh battery is plenty big enough for me with a genuine 4+miles/kWh. That's around 260 miles from full to empty in summer. Huge luggage space. Admittedly in the UK it's a bit wider than I'd like when driving down our country lanes, but hey ho, anything bigger than a Fiat 500 would be. 😊😊😂

I have been advised by the dealer that my Enyaq will be available for collecting on Friday 15th Nov. That's one day later than the original estimated delivery date. With the natural progression of extras that cars accrue during their production run this will have heated seats and reversing camera. When I first asked I was told that I would need an Eco Suite model to get those extras as standard.

Need to see it in the flesh. Think Skoda has gone off track a fair bit, simply clever no longer applies if considering the lack of knobs for temp control, the glass roof in hot house Australia, the weird lit up front grill. Why are extra large wheels needed?

You can get a clip in cover for the front half of the glass roof. I bought the wagon as I don't like sun in my face.

Temperature is automatic controlled not by turning knob whole time. You barely ever need to adjust it and if you do, few tap on screen will do work.

What is it with most EV,s no spare and hideously huge sunroof ? Is it the manufacturer doesn't care if you are stuck on the roadside with no spare or you sit in a sauna. These are not suitable for Australia.

Most modern ice cars don't have spares either, that's not an EV thing if you've been sleeping all this time. My last car, a diesel Citroen C4 grand picasso had no spare. That was a 2008 car.

Infact at first thumbnail glance i though BWM has done what !! 250kw seems a bit low for the rs at that price point over other competitors on the market even if your talking Volvo xe 30 at 315kw AWD !!

I see what you’re getting at. The light-up grille isn’t quite as ugly as some of BMW’s efforts though. Yeah, it is the most powerful Skoda ever but you’re right, others are more grunty for less green.

@@therightcar dont get me wrong more grunt means less range and i would say with the limited EV infastructure Australia has range is one of the big things on aussie EV buyers lists .. but we have not even spoke what zeekr are going to bring to the market at a lower cost !!
