ST-X are the same coilover except not stainless steel (galvanised instead) therefore much cheaper. If you don't live in a harsh environment then ST-X is the way to go.

Really nice setup! How’s the body roll in the corners compared to the stock xdrive suspension? Is it flatter? I have a 340i with sportline instead of msport, so I have the wallowy ‘mom’ suspension I’d love to firm up.

@@ayyyman_ Did you install these yourself? And if so how easy/hard was it and any specific tools you used?

@@matthewtodaro5729 I installed them with the help of some friends. You’ll need a splitter tool which helps open up where the strut goes into and also some spring compressors. Otherwise, just an assortment of sockets and wrenches. An impact gun will help. Personally I struggled installing them as it was my first time but it’s not impossible

They certainly would. H&R sport springs would be great and the super sports would definitely give you a good drop. I just don’t know how well the factory struts would hold up on springs that low

Heavily considering KW - good reviews from many, and my mechanic also suggests them for street use. Do you have EDC - I know KW has options for both, curious what your experience was if you do have EDC. (Any errors, or simply plug n play?) A little space in the rear for the car to squat on launch is good, and also rear slightly higher gives her a good Raked look imho.

Yeah they’re honestly great. I’ve had them for about a year now and still love them. I don’t have EDC so unfortunately can’t speak out of experience. But I believe getting any coilovers if you have EDC will render that feature useless

I’d say it’s pretty close to original ride quality. Maybe just a little more stiff but I prefer that personally. I like the way it drives now more than stock

@@dwightpuerto5331 yeah for sure man! Maybe look into the V2 and V3? Those you can adjust the dampening and rebound so you can actually fine tune it to what you like. You can only adjust the actual ride height with these

how do i know if i have edc on my car? I have a bmw 428i 2015. I have the options in my car to switch from comfort, sport, sport+ and eco. Although i dont have m suspension this is just a base model.

That's normal. Mine can switch between those but doesn't have EDC. If the suspension gets more firm in Sport mode, then you have EDC. There's also a website where you can search the features on your car based on the VIN.

I have a f36, what tyre size you using? How many mm lowered front & back please? And what size wheel spacers you used? The car looks so nice lowered!! 👍🇬🇧

Thank you! The F36 is a great car! So I have 275/30/R19 in the rear and 245/35/R19 in the front. Unfortunately I don’t know the exact measurements when I lowered it. I just lowered it until the whee gap was gone. And I’m currently not running spacers

Yes, my car is xdrive. You just have to make sure you get the ones specially for xdrive models. In terms of sport/comfort, these coilovers aren’t adaptive. You won’t tell a difference between sport and comfort

I'm trying to decide between KW V1s and V2s. What made you decide to go down the V1 route? I'm looking to do some autocrossing, canyon runs, and possibly a track day or two in my 6MT 4.2L S5.

In your case, I’d recommend V2s. Although I drive spiritedly, I don’t track the car. So I never really needed (or felt like spending the extra money for) the ability to adjust the dampening. The ride height was really the most important thing for me so I went for the V1s

@@rdbetta they’re Variant Xenons. They are staggered and no issues with xdrive since bathe diameters are within 1% difference. Any more than that and it’ll mess with the car

They can but you have to choose whether your car has xdrive or not and EDC or not.
