Thanks John! For me building a new rig is as much fun as crawling! Earlier this year I had the pleasure of watching the gentleman you mentioned take both Class 1 and Class 2 at the East Coast Nationals at CRV. I’m also a big Element axle and transmission fan.

I’m surprised your not wearing a Proline By The Fire shirt. That place is like Crawler Heaven.

Love these videos! Thanks for sharing and congrats on ‘finishing’ your build. That steering is amazing. I’ve been looking at your motors to replace my stock Axial 10.3’s. Was that the REVOLVER 2022 SS TEAM SPEC PURPLE? I’m hoping to get more wheel speed (to keep my 6yo going with me) and still be able to creep. I’m stealing ’thinking being a dangerous pastime’ of mine - that’s funny 😂

My green loctite is light duty. I still wouldn’t use it on a servo horn but I use it on just about every other RC application. Too bad I can’t post a pic

I just finished building a Gatekeeper kit and loving it. I may have missed it but why was it you used the Element drive train?

Hiya. A bit of a sideways question for you... I have a trim actuator off my boat that has failed. I pulled it apart and it is driven by a Yokomo brushed electric motor. There are no other numbers or identifying marks on it. Any idea how I can determine what model it is? Dimensions maybe? Thanks 🙏

Dusted his tires lol, nice!!! Thanks for the chuckles. Quick question, will you be making more of your servo winches?

Along with the thread strength, the head of the screw is also smaller on a 4-40. Definitely overkill for a tiny truck.

Vanquish is always good for wheels, lately my favorite wheels are ssd (even proline fat bead tires seem to mount easy). Also been eyeballing the ssd scale locking hubs....fancy. not really performance related at all, but the scale aspect.....

I used All-thread and tubing to 4-link my Clodbuster(I bought in 89) back in the early 90's. I still do that today sometimes. Works great.

Why 3 link or 4 link?

What happened to the VP hubs was that the chinese market is now full of similar hubs but with M3 threads. This is bad for VP but great for most of us. 4-40 are very hard to find outside of the USA so the rest of the world was having a hard time to get bolts. Loved the Nabil story! He's still comping with the crawlers classes.

You do know they sell a tool for like 20 bucks or less that allows you to drive your servos? That way you can dial the servo to 1500 and mount the horn. Even hold the servo so you can tighten the screw.

We have a few dozen. I prefer to use the radio to I know it's centered to what will be driving it. The accuracy of the servo testers is.... sometimes not great
