Love that verse. If you a bit self absorbed, don’t forget to love your neighbor. If you always saving people and getting burned, don’t forget to love yourself. I feel like this gets overlooked sometimes. Remember, the second half of the sentence is “as yourself”. It’s assumes you love yourself. The verse is beautifully written. A lesson for when you are self centered and a lesson when you are getting walked on. A verse for both seasons and characters

I definitely recommend John for new testament and ecclesiastes for old testament, you would realise bible is hard to read(especially old testament) as you have to read it in the author's perspective with ancient background knowledge, can try reformed theology or systematic theology to understand more because it summarises everything in the bible, simple to understand.👍

But iv got a promise in a dream ill die for jesus in the future and go thru ego death so i have a super ego. Among other promises. It's to your benefit to love others because otherwise you CANNOT love yourself. If you hate someone else for for doing something, then in order to be psychologically consistent, you have to love yourself on the condition that you don't do that thing. The more you hate, the more conditions you have on your own self love. And no one is perfect, so eventually conditional self love leads to instability and you crumble. Love others IN ORDER to love yourself!

@@404NotFoundIDontCare There are a few ways to think about this. First, if you believe that we’re all part of God but are temporarily separated into different human bodies, then it’s clear that loving others is the same as loving yourself and therefore hatred is incompatible with inner strength. (And it may be easier to love others than to love yourself, simply because loving yourself is kind of abstract.) If you’re into biblical figures, I think it’s interesting to consider that both Lucifer and Christ are perfect beings, but while Christ loves those who are less perfect than he is, Lucifer hates them. One could protest that it is reasonable to hate wretchedness, but the more perfect such a hateful being becomes, the more he hates, and this is what likely drove an otherwise perfect being to dwell at the very bottom of hell. If you believe that God is reality (that’s what I’m thinking these days), and sin and immorality are merely errors that are ultimately inconsistent with truth, then it’s also self-evident that hatred is a road block; the more you embody hate, the less compatible with reality you are, and ultimately, the less you will exist when you die and the false parts of you are annihilated. In this paradigm, love = growth and hate = degeneration. Love is the correct attitude when one sees the truth, and hatred is always based on some perceptual error. What I was saying before is maybe a more psychological route. Unconditional love, forgiveness, is what we all crave, and its importance for mental health is well-established. But if we hate others, we are telling our mind that there are some things we do not forgive. If we try to love ourselves unconditionally while at the same time we place all these conditions on our love for others, well, that is logically inconsistent, and deep down our psyche knows it, so that’s an unstable (or, erroneous) house to build. What do you think about all this?
@Colossians2Ministries

2 Timothy 3:1-2 says that the last days difficult times will come because people will be lovers of self. We see this happening today. Sociologists say that narcissism is on the rise for a number of different reasons one of them being social media. People are going about solving low self esteem issues badly by telling people that you ought to love yourself. But we see in Scripture that we are to die to self by living for God and others. The two greatest commandments are about being less self centered. Philippians 2 is a beautiful chapter about how we follow the example of Jesus’ self sacrificial love. It says to regard others as more important than yourself and have that same attitude Jesus had. The Bible teaches us that we have real intrinsic value and dignity because we are made in the image of God and we are wonderfully and fearfully created. If someone has low self worth that means they don’t believe what God said about us.

Sometimes 'loving your brother' can end up 'being taken advantage of', and that's why we need to be strong as well as discerning, while still loving our brother. Hello Alice! I enjoy listening to your perspective on biblical insights and often a breath of fresh air. Keep up the great work! I do have on concern to add that some may find interesting and that wealth is not necessarily a sign of God's favor, nor is poverty a sign of His disapproval! While the who message of consequences is spot on, we must not risk judging others especially by their material circumstance. We are instead called to love one another as we love ourselves and to not store up our materials here on earth were moth, rust and thieves reign but store up our treasures in heaven. I appreciate your time reading this! God Bless

Exactly! Spot on. God tests his people. The apostle Paul said that he learned to abound and to lack also. Jesus brought him through all kinds of situations so that his trust in God would improve. Allice should not teach on this because its a false doctrine. The Bible says God pours rain on the saints and the wicked alike. Jesus told us to deny ourselves, not to manifest what we want.

But this is exactly what jews in Jesus’ time thought of people… everyone who is poor or have a big sickness is a secret sinner because God “doesnt bless them, but curse them” and Jesus destroyed this mindset, he was standing up for the poor, not accusing them as sinners rather putting them as an example (poor widow) There is definitely some truth to what you said, but i wouldnt generalize it so much like poor=disobedient, Jesus says thats is not true, afterall he himself was the poorest one, but still he was the ritchest one in spirit

What matters is not whether what you have manifested will be perfectly good for the rest of your life or whether it will be a disaster. The enemy of our souls is willing to make you feel good and happy for as long as it takes, if it can keep you away from God. The thing is, when a good life is your idol, Jesus has no room in your heart to dwell. Take care, brothers and sisters. The cross is always the right way, the narrow way. Many thanks for this message. I have a few very pertinent questions: (1) How do we deal with legal issues if we forgive everything from our heart? If someone robs us, do we report the matter to the police? (2) How do we execute self-defence? If someone hurts us physically, should we not retaliate since we truly forgave? (3) Should we not take up arms and go to war to defend our territory? (4) In business dealings, sometimes competitors use underhanded means to harm our business. How do we send a signal to them if we don’t give them a taste of their own medicine?
@Leoo117
@Leoo117 3 ай бұрын
1. Forgiveness means to not be angry anymore. To let go. You can still forgive AND use the legal system God put in place in this imperfect world in order to try and make things right. Usually robbers knowingly break the law, so its on them. 2. Well, if you forgive, you don't retaliate. The bible says to stay away from bad association that would ruin your good habits (1 Corinthians 15:33). This means that instead of following their lead and taking on their bad habits and returning the harm, you follow God's lead and move away from that person. Keep them out of your life and do not associate with them until they learn to treat you correctly. The bible teaches boundaries. Also, Jesus said return evil for evil to no one. Romans 12:17. 3. The bible says the world is literally ruled by the wicked one right now, so the one that validates the wars from all countries is Satan (1 John5:19). Also, God hates violence (Proverbs 3:31, Psalm 11:5). So if you are going to listen to God, you are going to look at his kingdom as the territory you support and defend. This current world is going to turn on itself and dominate itself over and over because Satan currently rules. So, defending any kingdom other than God's is a waste of time. God will never require us to fight physically for his kingdom. This is why Jesus said that he is no part of this world, and we shouldn't be either. That's also why he told us to pray for God's kingdom to come so we can focus on that, rather than misled patriotism for any kingdoms or countries in this current world we live in. 4. Well, businesses that engage in underhanded tactics like that are a good example of how this world currenly belongs to Satan. If you were to follow God, you would just not associate with that untrustworthy business anymore and let them know why. Thats the same as if someone hurt you. Also, sending a negative message back in retaliation could needlessly require extra resources, and that untrustworthy business could use that action to help ruin your business's reputation. Following God's principles in this case also could help you avoid such pitfalls and avoid future dealings with untrustworthy people.

@SweetStratOfMine forgiveness in the Bible is defined as giving up our right to claim back what has been taken from us. That is the clear meaning of forgiving one's debt. If we forgive someone who sins against us, it means that we forgive their debt towards us. How then do we seek justice or recompense?

Hi Alice :) I really enjoy listening to you speak and your interpretations! If I may, though, wealth is not monetary, wealth is derived from what ever is in the eye of the beholder. Greed actually acquires far more monetary value than a pursuit of wealth does. People can find wealth in family and health. Money is important but it’s also important to have limits as you spoke by giving. But living to your means and always having a bit of room to still be hungry for exploration and curiosity is needed. I agree Christianity is the best religion to explain a properly laid out belief structure. But also as a Christian is incumbent to love all of gods children regardless of beliefs or even their form of religion that’s expressed in a language made up by humans. Wars have been started by one reflection of god from one culture thinking their god is somehow different, but it’s just the different in our human made languages we created. It appears multiple humans have been gifted by god with a sense of understanding that drastically shifted society throughout humanity. So the story of Jesus and his disciples are fantastic sources of the power of the divine and the similarities. It’s not the end all be all and not loving to segregate other religions, as long as there is a sense of a higher power and a pursuit for meaning in our own lives while not finding pleasure in the harm of others. Almost all points of humanity there has been some sort of higher power figure engrained. So as you talk about we are all a reflection through our cognitive function as our consciousness.

Nope, look at your blasphemy, for you the center is the human and its conciusness, a typical modernist inversion of truth, if you hear 13:30, she explains this is like witchcraft, eg Solomon or the Khabal or what you see on the watchers book then she goes deeper onto that thought at 15:32, so instead of this modernist satanist way of missinterpreting reality one should understand she has two points change by action not decision and second to gain more size and be able to reform earth, this is related to her previous embrace of wealth, I do think the influence is important but more important is that your life, dead, and relationship with God is personal and should be honest. This way of thinking helps people to stop fighting their inherent wish for more or will as Schopenhauer would call it and instead gain power to compete against the rampant evil.

The way I explain The Commandments vs Man-made Laws is; The Commandments are a universal law like gravity, while rules and commandments of men are the Law Of The Land. We still abide by most of the man-made laws in the US, because they are extensions of the Commandments of God. Until they go against or break one of them. Nobody is obligated to follow a law that allows murder, theft, adultery (rape is considered adultery unless they marry, have only one spouse, and it is their first marriage), blasphemy against God, coveting what others have, doing evil on the Sabbath, dishonoring your parents/guardians, hating your neighbor (sowing discord), telling lies, or worshiping an idol.

You are torn between Him and yourself, Alice. We cannot hold to our ways and also embrace his. One cannot be a cult “leader” and His follower. Submit to the Lord with all your heart and mind, and be one of his beautiful Godly daughters for eternity.

@RAWNREADY2ROCK You should probably read your Bible, she teaches her own flawed understanding. Half of what she says is directly against scripture, plus the fact that being a servant of God apparently makes you a “cult leader”… how is that biblical or glorifying to him? She literally glorifies herself. No brother. I stand in the right with the Holy spirit, and this lady does not teach Jesus. She teaches Alice. She is on the broad path and if you follow her, you are on the broad path too. His righteous walk boldly as a lion, armed with the Holy truth. A broken clock tells the time correctly twice a day, and so do heretics occasionally land the truth to keep up appearances before leading deeper into deception. It’s lukewarm, worldly Christianity. There is nothing “narrow” about this at all. She has taught more about gifts and prosperity than she has about biblical repentance. Seek Jesus as the teacher; otherwise you will continue to be deceived by all that come in His name.

@RAWNREADY2ROCK All can follow, not all are called to teach. There is unrepentant sin in this womans channel, that she refuses to change because this is just what they do; they unapologetically twist the gospel. As long as the simps keep lining up and keep telling her what a “woman of God” she is, why even change the framework? She’s getting exactly what she wants; personal glory. “Who cares what God thinks? All my subscribers praise me”. And the one discerning follower of Christ is seen as a stubborn objector rather than a defender and messenger of His truth. The REAL truth. The ONLY truth.

In my experience, when our desires are aligned with what God desires, that's how I could tell that the blessing is from above. When I try to "manifest" or even work for fruit that has impure motives or simply ill- timed, I tend to get disappointed in the end. The lie that has permeated in Christian culture is that God doesn't want to bless his people with material wealth. That's perhaps why they second guess themselves when they want something specific like a video game. But ultimately all the things of the world will fade and the point is to use our limited life and resources for his eternal kingdom.

She's right. Yahweh's Designs work in or out/away from Him. When the Israelites were taught to welcome the foreigners to join them and teach them His Way, they were armed with His perfect Design introductions and I'm sure many wanted to join them after experiencing how good their good examples worked for edifying their pagan community and families.

Hello As a native Hebrew speaker who also understands biblical Hebrew, I would like your permission to update something on the literal side. In Hebrew in the Tora Bible the sentence is said in different contexts, sometimes about another person in general and sometimes about the non-Jew. In Hebrew it is indeed said "you should loved your @ like you" "ve- ahavta et reacha kamocha" ( "ואהבת את רעך כמוך" ) (( - "ve" ( and) "ahavta"( you should love) "et reacha"( your @ ) "kamocha" ( like your self ) - )) But what is the word I marced with @ means ? @ is the Hebrew word "reacha" ( רעך ) . This word has two meanings: 1. Your neighbor/friend or colleague 2. The evil one that is willing to harm you very badly or allready harming you. So does the Torah mean loving your friend, your neighbor or your haiters/enemies? Big question. I guess both together

fo sho sista, thank you for speaking the truth, a spirit of religion has produced a bunch of weak Christians who have no idea who they are in Christ or the true nature of God and they perish for a lack of vision and knowledge. The "law of attraction" is definitely Biblical principles that God has put in place. Satan just perverted it by taking Jesus out of the equation and called it new age, he isn't creative at all. God wishes above all things that we prosper and be in good health even as our soul prospers, so we can more effectively advance the Kingdom of Heaven. We can't be a blessing if we first aren't blessed.

Is it right though to genuinely obey God in order to live true life? Many say the motive should just be thankfulness and love for what he has done instead of wanting '^his best'? That blessing and true life are just byproducts. I'd be really thankful for an answer 🙏

Eventually you will only want God, and everything else will follow. But at the beginning, God doesn't care why you're seeking Him, as long as you seek Him, you will be transformed down the road.

@@alicebythepalm_he He actually does. A lot of people seek Him for say; blessings and financial security. Again, one more example that you are blatantly unqualified to teach.

The world says you should love yourself but 2 Timothy 3:1-2 says that the last days difficult times will come because people will be lovers of self.

I disagree that the LAW OF ATTRACTION works. the law of attraction is based off of "Seduction and emotional manipulation". The point of loving our neighbors IS NOT to attract people to ourselves, but rather to point them to Christ, who is the source of our love. Paul said to Timothy in 2 Timothy 3:12, that "everyone who desires to live a godly life will be persecuted...." which is a promise to all people pursuing godly living (according to Christ). Hate is not attraction, but repulsion.
