I feel for you, Ben. I've been overwhelmed with my property since my husband died. I just can't seem to summon the energy to do all the things, so I've had to stop mowing most of the elderberry farm. I have 27 acres plus a house in town. I've started hiring help to get things under control before winter hits. My goal is to find a better management plan now that the heat has eased up, and to do differently next year. Having less to manage is always easier, so getting rid of things is on my list as well. I decided if I have a bone yard for materials, they have to be on racks, or organized on pallets, or I can't keep them. Everything will have a home and be put away, or it has to leave my property. No more being messy. It's too much stress on my brain.

Old tires are free flower planters! Growing up, our sandbox was an old tractor tire. It's still in Mom's backyard and I am 62 years old! Years ago, they converted it to a flower bed with an old manual water pump sitting in the middle of it and it's so cute. But we still call it the sandbox lol. 🙏 Praying y'all made out ok through the storm 🙏

My brother cracks me up.....he says it is pertinent to have company every couple of months to keep your house clean and in order. It encourages you to clean up the house and keep it presentable. That seems "normal" but Lordy Bees.....it is HARD. During gardening season, my house goes to "shitz". But when it is hotter than hades outside.....my yard and garden goes to "shitz". Ya'll accomplished a ton. You should feel proud and feel like a load is off your back.
