I feel for you, Ben. I've been overwhelmed with my property since my husband died. I just can't seem to summon the energy to do all the things, so I've had to stop mowing most of the elderberry farm. I have 27 acres plus a house in town. I've started hiring help to get things under control before winter hits. My goal is to find a better management plan now that the heat has eased up, and to do differently next year. Having less to manage is always easier, so getting rid of things is on my list as well. I decided if I have a bone yard for materials, they have to be on racks, or organized on pallets, or I can't keep them. Everything will have a home and be put away, or it has to leave my property. No more being messy. It's too much stress on my brain.

Old tires are free flower planters! Growing up, our sandbox was an old tractor tire. It's still in Mom's backyard and I am 62 years old! Years ago, they converted it to a flower bed with an old manual water pump sitting in the middle of it and it's so cute. But we still call it the sandbox lol. 🙏 Praying y'all made out ok through the storm 🙏

Hi guys, thinking about you all today, with this horrendous storm. Please be safe, and do not get into any floodwaters, as they are tricky. We do love you all! I know this post went up way before 9/27, but today I'm watching the Asheville area, as I know you and Jason and Lorraine from Sow The Land are all down there. Such destruction, and as a Vermonter who has had 3 major floods in the past year+, I am worried for y'all. I'm sending as good energy as I can muster!💖💗💙💛💚

That seems "normal" but Lordy Bees.....it is HARD. During gardening season, my house goes to "shitz". But when it is hotter than hades outside.....my yard and garden goes to "shitz". Ya'll accomplished a ton. You should feel proud and feel like a load is off your back.

A big step in the right direction. Without realizing it the weight of your surroundings affect a lot of things. Once you finish the clean up look with pride at your home. It is a beautiful piece of property. The extra home space will come but getting yourself feeling energetic and alive is important. Stay off the golf cart it is not your friend. LOL {you said this on the podcast} You are addicted to Megs cooking. It's the comfort food kitchen.
