Define better English. Most countries have regional slang. America is no different. If you learn Spanish or German or French or any other language you’ll find slang words, phrases and unofficial rules permeate a lot of languages.

Thank you for sharing. She sounds like a fascinating woman. My Great Grandmother was born 1898, and Grandmother(bka Mom) was born in 1933. So, as I was reading, I was picturing their timelines with hers and it helps me to understand the degree of her accomplishments as a foreign female.
