I don’t really care for doctor who anymore [mainly due to what I feel was a deterioration of writing/plots] but oh yeah no people in that space are either very lgbt friendly/identifying people or crappy nerds who think any form of diversity is “appealing to the liberal agenda” It really sucks that Jinx can’t catch a break from crappy fandoms but I truly think as a performer even in the show the character has the potential to be really amazing if they can fix some of the former issues in the last few season. I still think in the end people will use this against Jinkx in some way which is what really sucks just given the past and say fandoms treat Jinkx in all ways (from drag race to Steven universe cameo to potentially DW)

Jinxx just didn't "place high in many episodes". Like you said, she won 2 main challenges, but perhaps even more impressive is the fact that she placed in the Top 3...EIGHT CONSECUTIVE WEEKS IN A ROW. The first time I watched RP Dragrace was way back 2020, during the pandemic (Netflix). Binge watch from S1. Jinkx is my all-time favorite. Next is Dela, Bianca. Jinkx is so talented back then. Then All Stars S7, she deserved to win. The other queens know she's the one to beat so she got blocked twice. It's ridiculous winning the crown just based on 1 lipsync. Grateful that Ru Paul chose her as the winner! She made Ru Paul proud, her Broadway Chicago is a huge hit & now she also landed a Doctor Who gig. Thank you for feauturing her ❤❤❤

I love Monet & Shea, but if there was any riggory, it was the final challenge being worth 3 stars. Shea was thrust from the lowest number of stars to top 3. Monet was tied with Raja, Yvie, & Viv. Trinity had 4 challenge wins, but was blocked for one, so 3 stars, Jaida had 3. Monet’s third win would’ve put her rightfully in the top 4, (with 3 stars) regardless, but not thrust to 5 stars. It wouldn’t have been fair for a lip sync to determine the winner. Look at how that screwed over Shea (the clear front runner of season 9) when Sasha did her iconic rose petal gag. It’s so unfair for a whole season’s worth of challenges, runways, hours in the werk room, design, tailoring, rehearsals, singing, dancing, acting, comedy, improv, etc to come down to a single 3 minute lip sync, determined by the spin of a wheel. Jinkx had 5 wins, had been blocked 3 times (one during a win), resulting in 4 stars. Money went 7 episodes without being in the top, Shea went 9. Jinkx went 2. It was her season.

Monet is a very good queen that is really just a top 20 contender that had to be given 3 stars in the final episode just so that she could for certain be included in the finale. Honestly, them and many other queens/kings/performers are some really creative and talented artists and uses their drag to express that creativity. Season 5 was the first season I watched, since it was the earliest season available on hulu at the time, and I absolutely fell in love with Jinkx, they've been my favorite ever since. I actually went to drag race tours like haters roast just to see them live, and I really get anxious at big events like that so that was huge for me. Because of this, I know it was very hard for me to not be biased in all of this. Steven Universe is also one of my fav shows and I was so so excited when they made a voice cameo on it. So for me, I saw zero things wrong with it. Granted, a large part of the Steven Universe fandom is like actually pure evil, so I'm not surprised they'd find a reason to be mad about that. And then to have Jinkx win the all winners season, again, my bias really comes into play, but I really do think they deserved it.

I've been a Peaches Christ fan before RPDR started. Glad you gave her a shout out. Many people have been introduced to the art of drag through RuPaul. That's great, but there are so many great performers of drag that are not on the show. I know RuPaul from the dance clubs in the Southeast ( Atlanta, Charlotte) back in the 80's and 90's. Jinx is a great talent and represents my favorite type of drag. She is classy, timeless and actually a very talented singer and funny comedian. ❤

I think it’s important to note that SMYRC (pronounced Smurk) was in Portland, Oregon. That’s where I first met Jinkx. She was also won Rosebud which is the longest running Youth title in the Us, at the Escape night club, which was an all ages night club. She also would do a lot of street performances outside of Pioneer Square downtown Portland. She then moved to seattle. 🤷🏻‍♂️ She also had Monsoon Manor here in Portland.

10:14 The problem with many Drag Race fans is that they point out Queen’s weight gain under the guise of concern and care but don’t realize that commenting about it is counterintuitive and backhanded. For example, Kim Chi was a guest on Delta’s podcast last week and 70% of the comments were “oh my god, she’s gained so much weight, is she ok mentally? She must be depressed” and “Kim I’m worried about you, you’re ballooning” like- damn. It’s still rude to say even when you preface it with concern.

Jinkx ran away with several episodes of all stars. She absolutely hijacked Snatch Game and there were some very strong performances- some of those others would have WON any other season. If she got the camera on her she wouldn’t let it go- and with her performance who’d want to???? Even when blocked she still found ways to “win.” One VERY talented individual. I’m proud to be a fan! My own little finale watching party had me wearing a tee shirt of her as Judy Garland- a reminder of how strong she started and the level she competed at.

Jinx is an amazing queen. Her talent is unmatched and shes so sweet and genuine. And thats what pisses off other queens, even those are cosinder them a fellow coworker. Shes just chill and just along for the ride and showing off what she does best. Not interested in petty shit. We need to acknowledge as a community that we have a massive bullying problem within OUR OWN HOUSE when the outside hateful world throws stones at us. I cant help but find the irony in this.
