@@kwl189 I agree mate. I just the think the club itself should outwardly attempt to lessen the focus on the past and more on the future. If anything that was the problem with Ole's reign - club legend, blah blah blah, he's coming home blah blah blah - he was set up to fail from the beginning. You've got to admit that most right-minded fans knew that he was never the right man for the job. The media were out to slay him from the off. As a cold appointment, Van Gaal was probably the most astute - terrible football though. Moyes was 'handpicked' by Fergie, Jose had long coveted the job, is one of Fergie's mates plus he has a brislty character and was easily going to get hacked off with the board and certain players with ego bigger than his, and Ole was like a work experience placement gone wrong. Roy goes after Carrick but fails to go against Ole when he had the chance
@gsfaz64583 жыл бұрын
Carrick was just trying to say all the right things the club wants to hear, positivity. Roy is spot on, it's all about who you know and protecting the boys. He has been involved with United over many years now and seems like he's almost stirring the pot in getting managers sacked.

Keane is smouldering that the players have put in effort since Ole got sacked. It's a loyalty thing, it really gets under this collar!

It must annoy him when he sees brain-dead fans blaming Ole when it's clearly the players fault.

Much the same went on at Liverpool when they went into decline after Dalgleish gave up mid season it was jobs for the boys also. Klopp has brought a lot of new people and has lifted the level. Roy YNWA

Roy knows what he’s talking about and the United owners missed the boat in snapping him up as their new manager. Maybe it’s not to late to get him but if you ask me, they owe him an explanation as to why they overlooked him in the first place?

Spot on. Everyone is lapping him up right now, but he was right beside Neville, Scholes and Ferdinand, keeping Ole in a job.
