How lovely to be able to eat outside. Joe is a gorgeous baby, I can’t help thinking you need a small playpen or baby relax chair to enable you to put Joe down safely, I’d be frightened of him falling off the sofa onto the floor. I’m going to try aura, I am presently using calm, as that helps me sleep as well as meditate too. Wow your garden is looking amazing! X

Hey Shirley. We have a couple of blankets we put down to cushion the floor for him now but we do need to get something like this... All a learning curve! Because of the small space we're waiting until each new milestone to see what we do and don't need 🙂 we hope you like Aura if you have given it a go 🙂

Honestly, bread toasted in a pan tastes so much better, I think. What a beautiful life you lead. You really are modelling living well with less. The allotment is going well - next year you’ll have another set of hands trying to ‘help’ you plant and forage! I hope you’ll also pick some elderberries to make a syrup for the colder months - little Jo is too young to take it, but since babies and small children seem to pick up all of the bugs going around and then pass them onto you by sneezing in your face, it’s a handy recipe to know - and a great use for some of the honey you’re collecting!

Have you tried cracking eggs on a flat surface instead of with a knife? The flat surface will stop the egg shell from breaking away and ending up in your egg. :)
