She's on a program where she learns the song and has like 1 hour to put together her own version. Any critique of the performance should understand the context. Love Aurora ❤

‘Like a version’ is a segment on Australian radio station triple J. Selected artists do an original and a cover live in the studio each week. Also is a play on words “like a virgin” madonna song - it’s been around for over 20 years i reckon. Other AMAZING like a version covers The Herd - I Was Only 19 (originally but Redgum) Tegan and Sara - Dancing In The Dark (Springsteen) - Regina Spektor - Real Love (John Lennon) Matt Corby playing his original - Brother Denzel Curry - Bulls on Parade (Rage Against The Machine) Yungblud ft Halsey - I Will Follow You Into The Dark (Death Cab for Cutie)

He and Aurora just did a collaboration. “A Rock Somewhere” (Collier song) x “The Seed” (Aurora song) Live on a small platform in the sea of Svalbard, Norway (for Greenpeace)

Like a version is a segment on Australian radio station Triple J. They have a different artist on every week that covers a famous song. One of my favs is Glass Animals cover of Kanye West's Love Lockdown and Milky Chance cover of Taylor Swift's Shake it off. Both are brilliant. There are so many, Denzel Curry does Bulls on Parade by Rage Against the Machine. For me it's more powerful than the original, his brother was shot and murdered by police, you can feel that when he sings.

Nice reaction Sam, you float well, lol. Auroras vocals, they seem so effortless and are hauntingly beautiful. She cuts her own hair, she has gotten better at in IMO, 😋, she difinitely walks to a different beat then most people. "Like a Version" is a segment on the Australian radio station triple j where artists come in to perform one of their own songs and a cover version of another artist's song every Friday morning; essentially, it's a live music feature where artists play a "like a version" of a popular song. The thing with almost all of the covers she does, with a tiny few exceptions, Aurora never heard the original song before, she pretty much comes in with no prior idea of how the songs sound and makes them her own. As with all of the songs she sings, her own or covers, I notice the lyrics more than any other artist, I think it is because she sings with a crystal clear voice compared to others, IMO anyway. Thanks for this nice reaction to the wonderful artist that is Aurora.

When you said you don't know Teardrop, I was like "FOR SURE you know it, you just don't know which song it is". EVERYONE I know who was alive in the 90s knows that song. :D (Although come to think of it, I'm not even sure you were alive in the 90s, I donno your age :D) It's just a very strange one, you cannot put your finger on it bcs it is not a popular band or genre so to say. BUt I advise you to listen to some Massice Attack, freaking love then, they are so unique.
