Games like infinity, malifaux and guildball were the games that made me realize that GW doesnt make good games.
@imightjustmakeit4 ай бұрын
@anab0lic once I played infinity and then a 2k game of 40k I was like why. It's so boring and very littler strategy so it makes models obsolete a lot quicker cause it's not really how you play but how good the models are then sprinkle so thought into it

This is a killer trio of skirmish gaming. Highly recommended to try any of them! Guild Ball with cool dice chain mechanisms and team design. Infinity rules make any game super tense and engaging for both players simultaneously. Malifaux has dynamic objectives and synergy. Great model designs and systems for all of them.

Getting used to the metal was troublesome, for the first two or three. Now CB models are my favorite. And the heft, the fact they wont shatter but will break apart on the poece line so is easy to repair, and we are all already using primer so painting, once primed, is just like plastic. More please. Also also, the app links directly to the wiki, which includes explanations of keywords you can select, and lists errata and FAQ related to the rules on those pages.

TO THE INFINITY AND BEYOND! Infinity has great sculpts, but sometimes they can be tricky to clean properly. Half of the time I wonder if what I'm about to cut is a detail or a gate. What is a nice easter egg is that in JSA box you can see clear inspiration from GitS: especially Major Kusanagi and Bato! Great paintjob as always! The video is amazing and I love infinity! Hoping to see more models in the future! Quick tip for anyone watching - infinity models come with these inserts on the bottom of their feet. You can see them in the video too, but I think Ninjon removed them. You generally would use that for pinning. Standard Infinity bases come with slots for these inserts, so generally, you would just need to line those up and make a cut on the base to fit it in. Good luck with your infinity journey! Best sculpted sci-fi minis on the market!

Model detail and design is one of the best parts of Infinity. On top of a well playing game that's cheap to get into. Plus regular model releases due to how their business model works. Proxy rules are build into the core rules because of that business model, but it allows you to simply find what Corvus Belli minis you like to represent or event convert into whatever you feel best represents what you want to play. Lots to love! Wonderful to see Infinity being seen more around the wargaming sphere.

Glad to see Infinity get some love. I started tabletop wargaming with it instead of Warhammer, it's pretty fun and the models are surprisingly good (most of the time). Local group never really got back together after 2020 though, so I shifted to 40k, sold 2 armies, and kept my Nomads in a drawer somewhere *just in case*. Also yes. Free rules are so damn nice and I never realised how much so until I played a game that paywalled rules behind Codexes...

I'm so glad there has been a small resurgence of interest in Infinity (upcoming Warcrow too). Corvus Belli deserves much more coverage than it gets. What I love about Infinity is Code One rules which you can teach to someone in 30 minutes as well as no poster-boys army - every army gets same amount of attention as other armies, no need to wait for codexes like ThatOtherGame.

Most Infinity models dont need to be pinned unless you're doing custom bases like this. They come with this sort of rectangular base attached to the feet. The Infinity bases actually have a slot for this rectangular bit built into the base, you just need to cut open the slot on the base. Gluing that rectangle in makes it super sturdy
