Florida is a hot mess. Property tax is rising but insurance is sky rocketing. I'm in Central FL - far inland. My insurance has gone from 2,200 to 7,000 in 4 years. Lots people in FL are rethinking living here. I know I am.

I am in Southern California and was dropped several years ago. And LA County was on fire and some still burning. Mine happened in the same fashion and had to replace my "replacement value" with bare bones poly that essentially covers very little. And considering moving, which I might have to do due to heart issues and potentially get help from my younger friends. (No living blood relatives)

It depends on how much you pay for your house if you moved Iowa. You can easily buy a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom llace for under $ 40,000. Or you can buy an even smaller house for as little as $9,000!!

Investing? Income? 3k a month is not a lot to live on but it’s possible. It’s a lot to invest monthly depending on your financial situation, for me that wouldn’t work.

Explain how it couldn’t. You get your money from the government, and separately you have a trust fund that you can access. 2 totally seperate things. To get a trust fund someone has to leave you one. If you are considering setting one up for your disabled kid or something, there shouldn’t be any issues. They just report the income when they take it out.

How much do you want to pay to get it back? Write it off as a bad debt on your taxes. Never ever loan money ever to anyone. If it is more than $10 $20 for lunch, just no. I have and it turned out beautifully. Why? They were a responsible person prior to having a temporary money issue. Both paid back prior to our written agreement.
