Either way Levy’s at fault. You basically hire a poor man’s Mou after sacking Mou and you don’t back him in the transfer window either. And then you force him to play an absolutely disinterested Kane to keep his value in check.

Nuno started his Spurs reign w/ both Dele and Ndombele in midfield, and they promptly got exposed and ripped apart bc both of them are lazy and can't help defend. Then he goes super defensive with Hojberg and Skipp, and the fans hate it bc they could barely create anything with safe, slow, boring sideways passing. The real issue with Spurs has always been their squad. They never really replaced the very talented XI they had back in 2016-18. Their "big signings" like Sanchez, Ndombele, Lo Celso etc. have all been flops. Dele has regressed, and Kane looks like he dgaf anymore and is mentally checked out. Conte will need at least two transfer windows to sort this dumpster fire out.

One of the most ridiculous aspects of this sacking is that he had received manager of the month at a certain time, hence indicating he was more than fit for the job. A month or so after, he gets the sack. The board just want someone to operate miracles with players that 1) are not good enough, 2) the ones who are don't want to be there. Considering that the coming 9 matches for Conte are damn easy (if the players put in the effort), I predict everyone will be saying how good a manager he is. Then, starting the 16th of December it's when they will start a tough period of hard games with a few very easy ones there. So what this calendar tells me is that the sacking of Nuno had little to do with their trust on his capacity to turn things around but more with the board not liking is methodologies/approach. But Conte will have to wait until January 2022 for yet another batch of players, hard negotiations and incoming players adapting to his style. I am sure he will resort to signing a few Italians for faster adaptation due to communication and football culture but I predict that by mid-February he will have them playing to his style. That clashes with the away match against Man City on the 19th of February that they will have to win to show he is something of a kind. If before that match Tottenham is in 5th place I see him staying around in peace, if not I see him getting frustrated and the blaming game starting all over again.

I believe Poch was a victim of his own success. He deserved more time to turn things around when they weren't positive. The man got them to the CL final and cemented them in the top-6 of, arguably, the most difficult league in world football. Levy pulled the trigger too soon IMO.

In regards to that the players themselves said how down poch was after coming close to winning the league and then like Leicester did and then there was the champions league final. I was happy with poch but thinking about it from that perspective if the manager isn't happy either or wants to go then it also has an effect on the dressing room. Maybe he did want to or not but that would explain the form the season he was sacked. As a fan we look for the blame from the players to the manager to the chairman but looking at how the club progresses as a whole really determines who is right in terms of the direction the club is going. I don't mean to type all this long stuff but speaking as a fan sacking mourinho right before a final being the serial winner he is made me look at the chairman Levy and Harry kane. Reason I'm saying that is mourinho played with a lot of players with ego's and if Kane developed one and wanted the player out then he lost out coz mourinho is a great manager loved by many and even past players. If the chairman wanted to save some dough or whatever then sacking a manager before a final is the way to say screw the fans this is my club n we aren't winning trophies on my watch. So it as I say a double edged sword really.

@@TeyRock1 anything else you agree on? Like if poch was gone too soon based on what the players said themselves is kind of what I'm curious on? Reason I'm asking is because as a club there are players , fans and a lot of people within the club that news gets out and tbh if poch was going to be another manager not winning anything but happy with top 4 arsenal style that was not the direction I believe spurs were going for regardless of criticism from others. We were playing bad when he was let go and for what it's worth I stand by the decision to bring in mourinho to show that intent to win trophies as opposed to waiting for poch to somehow get us back to were we were as a team previously. Victim of success maybe but right decision at the time I think so mate.just saying

Carra is wrong, it wasn't a bad appointment, it was the appointment that Levy and Paratici wanted for that moment. They could take at that moment Conte but they didn't want him and they knew why, because he was going to ask a lot of money for him and a lot of money for strengthening the squad and Levy as usual didn't want to spend money, so the solution was easy, Nuno Espirito Santo because he was coming from the mud and he wasn't going to complain with the players he was going to have got, in fact, probably he has never had so good team in his whole career but, How many Spurs players have performed at the level that the team required? Look at how Wolves played with Nuno, for something Wolves were between the best 10 teams in the Premier. I think many people at Tottenham should be regretted with their behavior and their performance. The football club and players have betrayed and have left Nuno absolutely alone. Tottenham Spurs, Daniel Levy and Paratici and its supporters believe themselves better than they really are. There, just there where the problem is. I think, for a change, everybody at Spurs should have a honest conversation about how the real situation of the football club and the team really are. And after that they can hire a new manager, manager that since the first minute must know what type of team he is going to manage, without secrets, without lies: "this is the team you've got, we don't have money for spending in winter window, this your salary and your bonuses if you are capable to get one of the Champions League spots, Europa League or winning one of the trophies that they are still alive. Do you want it? Yes or Not? As simple as that. As sincere as that and start again.

What went wrong for Spurs since 2018: 1. Signed absolutely no one in the 18/19 season. 2. Giving new contracts to mediocre players. 3. Some of the signings since 19/20 season hasn't lived up to expectations. 4. Sacking Pochettino after screwing him over and sacking Mourinho before a cup final. 5. Made a poor choice in hiring Nuno and not give him the proper backing with transfers. 6. Failed to move on mediocre players like Winks, Dier and Sanchez. 7. Refusing to sell Kane and now they have a player who is mentally not in Spurs and downing tools. 8. Made a mess in looking for new managers(see point 5). 9. Alli has regressed as a player. Never fulfilled his true potential. 10. Needed a proper rebuild but Dan Levy being a stubborn mule for not allowing it to happen.

When clubs appoint managers they should have to live with that choice until the next transfer window, i.e., they can only bring new managers in during a transfer window. If the manager can not continue for some reason, then the club should have to make do with a caretaker who is already at the club until the window. The clubs get to vote, so this rule would never pass under the current structure. A regulator could make it happen though. The manager sacking merry go round can not be good for the game. Clubs would have to be more careful about their appointments, plus it would give a little more stability for the players. Not knowing who your boss would be one month to the next sucks as does constantly having to adjust to how new bosses want things.
