I've heard that Tom Holland actually filmed a cameo for the 2018 Venom film, but Marvel Studios forced Sony to delete the scene because at the time it wouldn't have made sense. Up until today, I've heard that Sony "legally couldn't include" Spider-Man in any of their spin-off films because of the back-and-forth licensing deal with Disney/Marvel Studios. But now what they've revealed that they always could've included Spider-Man in their films, it makes me wonder why Sony decided to momentarily take Spider-Man out of the MCU in 2019 in the first place if the IP handling was never really an issue.

Sony took out Spider-Man in 2019 because they wanted a better contact where they get more money In the previous deal Marvel only got the merchandising rights and 5% profits while they produced the films and Sony kept rest of it. Marvel asked for producing and keeping 25-50% of the movie's profits which Sony didn't like who wanted to continue the previous deal

I really don't care for Disney. Sure, hand over SOME rights to Marvel after Disney finishes kid-a-fying the MCU. As soon as 'Iron Man 3' released, I instantly noticed Tony Stark behaving less himself, the drinking, the cheating, ect. And then the 'Age of Ultron' trailer released with Pinocchio singing "no strings on me" Of course, they revolutionized and changed the movie industry but at great costs. If your movie doesn't make a billion dollars it's a flop, or if you don't build a franchise or universe people are not really invested unless there are exposing and jokes. Sony makes other films, CLEARLY a Spider-Man villain only universe isn't their only flop but they make good films. They need help but not making sure everything is almost always happy ending. I don't care to see Peter Parker's life miserable. But I wound like a REAL gritty movie from Marvel/DISNEY. NOT 'DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE' NOT a 20th Century Fox adaptation. Just Disney/Marvel...like use one-shot takes for the fight choreography. Hell , give me a jumpscare; Marvel/Disney is just too kid friendly for the sake of sake of selling toys.
