What do you do to bring your language to you?

I learned English to a good level, and my only contact with the language was through my phone, so whenever I try to say that I will never know Korean to a conversational level I remind myself that I was at the same stage with English 3 years ago and here I am, speaking and understanding a lot of English.

Absolutely! Our phones are an amazing tool for contact with a new language! How long have you been studying Korean?

@thelangconprojectpodcast I learned the "alphabet" in 2021 but kinda stopped studying during 2022. Around December of 2022, I got back. I would say for 3 years, but I never study with consistency, so I can't say for certain. Lol. Last week I tried something new: watching korean dramas with korean subtitles. Results: I understand a lot, but there are some sessions of the dialogues I don't understand a single word. 😅

I don't live in a French speaking country but I do live with a native French speaker so I do consider myself lucky. There is also her French speaking expat community relatively close
