My dog MaiTai scratched at her ear (erect ears) and shook her head so much that she ended up with a hematoma which swelled up her ear like a balloon. It was drained and bandaged, shook her head again, ear swelled up again and ended up with surgery so it wouldn’t happen again.

I was on holiday with my new dog and we went to this place and we walked across the grass and we didn't realise there were mushrooms there but luckily I noticed and I kept my dog on a tight lead and also he is sooo chill and good

Never had a dog ear bleed But for some reason, I don't know how this happened I just found it one day But my pitbull's ear became bent It's not fixable. It's like permanent It doesn't hurt him, I even touch it, no reaction I don't know what happened, honestly I don't know if he got it days before I notice or what But it doesn't bother him at all. He can hear, and move it just fine

It was a couple of years ago, and my pittie x lab was with me running around the yard, I stepped inside for a quick second to get one of his tennis balls. I lead him with the ball, and he jumps on me like he always does, I felt something wet on my hand. I thought he scratched me with his claws, like Oakley, he refuses to have his paws touched. I'm not sure why. Turned out after a good look at his feet, I found he somehow cut his, I'm calling it a thumb, not the dew claw, on a random wire when he was digging. I didn't even know there was a wire anywhere in the yard. I called my mom and our vet, which were sadly closed because half day. Thankfully, my dad still had some clean bandages and leftover iodine from when he passed away. I cleaned it up a couple of times a day and had to use tape to hold the sock and bandage in place, not duck tape or directly on his fur. He is still weary about that spot, which is understandable. Now, he's losing hair by his right ear and eye and back hind right leg. All is allergy related.

My black lab great pyrness mix jackson he had been limping for the about month and then me and my brother went upstairs in our house and jack jumps off my bed and lets out a very high pitched yelp and we were all like "oh no what happened puppy?!" my dad took him to the vet and what do you know he blew out his asl in his back left hied leg and the vet warned he might do it to the other one soon too. So we are nervous about him because he is only 3 years old so

Yeah I agree that this is the month of Vet visits. Ghillie sure does like spending my money! Ghillie had an ear wound about 3 months ago from Drizzle. Now he is dealing with a wound on his side. We are not sure where it came from. Possibly day care, possibly from something here at home. He's on antibiotics just in case. Oh! We use Vetericyn too! Glad everyone is on the mend.

I remember when I was still early on working at my current job at a dog daycare and a new puppy bit a beagle's ear and it bled so much and I didn't know what to do because nobody told me how you're supposed to react to a bleeding ear yet. Luckily my boss got it treated but I also got in trouble because I called out "hey a dog's bleeding!" and we're not supposed to say that when people are getting their dogs...which I get but also don't. Since then I know what to do but that was scary the first time. Glad it wasn't bad with Eleanor.

I 2nd that with husky/dog ear injuries hard to stop them bleeding when the dad of our pup fights either of his 2 boys we always end up with an injured ear or two and whats worse is they don't like you wanting to look /treat it 🙄 . Sounds like miss Eleanor is learning to sing your intro

My Mom was half Italian, and we're all originally from the North-eastern U.S., plus there's A Lot of Italian throughout my family by marriage, so I'm fairly well schooled in at least my pastas, although My Mom never learned any of the Italian language from her Mom who spoke it, fluently, (We're American now, you don't need to know that), so I never got to really learn any of it.

Memphis is such a sweetheart... she went over to Kira and began kissing her. Eleanor needs to be mindful of Memphis' space and not rush, bump, and bang into her the way she always does. That is not play, she is unruly. It is upsetting to see her always treating Memphis this way. Kira is younger and can give it right back to Eleanor. But gentle Memphis just moves, or goes on the sofa to get away from her. Sweet Memphis just tried to nuzzle/kiss Eleanor, and she turned on her. This is why Memphis is sitting by herself because she is afraid to get any closer for fear of being shoved. Kira does not even treat Memphis this way because she realizes Memphis is the eldest and respects her. Eleanor needs to be taught manners and corrected, such as a firm, "No" when she does this to Memphis. Maybe some formal training is necessary.
