Hi Olav my friend….. this song is a typical early sixties……. Short ( 2min 25 sec ) no chorus just verses ( only three ) apart from the three key changes everything is the same. Having said all that …..it makes a cracking instrumental. ♥️ Fetched the Dream out for a run on this one, still on the honeymoon with it. ♥️ Love it,love it, love it ♥️ I thank you for your continued comments and support my friend…….. your good responses are always welcome. Hi Al, nearly didn’t do this one for the reasons you mention. It was so short, consisting of just three verses and with no chorus. Anyway, I decided to do it and keep my head down. A good song back in the day, Conway Twitty being the first to release it but I preferred the BT of Glen Campbells version. Thank you for your comments and so pleased you enjoyed my arrangement of it. Well, hope your managing to keep up with feeding the meter ………. It’s so cold here at the Sanctuary, we are walking around with blankets wrapped around us. In bed at 4:30 pm with hot water bottles as it’s the cheapest way to stay warm. The good news is the days are getting longer and it’s now still light at 3:30pm ( just ) keep your chin up and thanks again for your support and comments. Hi Krishna, yet another old hit, Conway. Twitty’s original version from 1958 and Glen Campbells cover from 1970. A great song, But like all the others in those days very short and only lasted a couple of minutes, in fact there is no chorus to this song just three verses……. Wow….. easy money or what. Thanks for your good comments and I’m pleased to hear that you enjoyed my arrangement. Well my friend, it’s freezing on top of the ice now, very cold here and frosty everywhere, best sat by a radiator, Which is where I am going to be for the for seeable. Thanks Dave, your good comments are always welcomed. ‘It’s Only Make Believe’ Originally recorded by Conway Twitty in 1958 and Glen Campbells version in 1970. A great recording which makes for a half decent instrumental. ( so be it ….. on the short side ) But so we’re all the records back then…….. Morning Denis, another cold one here, weather is still pretty bad, snow & ice, frosty everywhere, central heating working overtime, best staying in by a radiator………….. Another old classic originally from the great Conway Twitty in 1958, this one was a Glen Canpbell cover version from 1970…… they certainly kept them short back in the day……… a couple of minutes if you were lucky, the young ones of today would be kicking off if there music were to be that short. Hi Joe, thanks for those kind words………. I too remember Mr Twitty’s version and if remember correctly his was the first release of this song, many have covered it. @@ianwilsonguitarist3079 To me, Conway Twitty is an acquired taste. Glen Campbell had a pure easy voice to listen to. Growing up I listened to the more twangy country singers, Hank Thompson, Webb Pierce, etc.
