I'm almost 14 years in with my husband and THAT is something that I learned. I didn't know how to do that going in. When you commit to your martial covenant, you choose to do that and you LEARN that, God blesses the marriage in unimaginable ways.

Jackie thank you for being fully you, not shying away or making yourself "palatable" for others. In my healing journey with the Lord, I have come to love myself, all of me, but there aren't many reflections of me out in the world which makes life a little lonely sometimes. I know Paul talks about women submitting to their husbands, but where does Jesus talk about that? Jesus was friends with women, spoke to women, and included women. He opened the door so we could all priests to Him. This headship mess sounds off to me. Jesus humbled Himself to God, and I’m pretty sure we should be doing the same. Why are women submitting to their husbands instead of the Lord? Because Paul said so? He wasn’t even married. Nor did he make women.
