That's why I was worried about having a studio audience come back, that we would lose the dynamic that was created...I'm glad to see that, so far, that hasn't been the case -- this show is best when it embodies the punk rock style of Conan (as in not-giving-a-fuck absurd improv) versus scripted bits.

I've been watching late night talk shows since the 90s and I'm pretty sure this is the only show where any member of the band can literally speak up and talk if they so desire. Either no one else is allowed, or no one else had any reason to because they were there to play music when cued. That's my favorite part of this show, audience or not.

It might not be the call to have an audience or not, the network usually has more of a say. But anyways, they're implementing a totally new approach, with the crew plus a small audience, which i think it's pretty difficult and brave. Imo they did great and kept the vibe of the previous crazy shows during the pandemic 💚
