I am a retired Leo from Illinois. In most of this state, cops work on the behest of the mayor, especially if it is democrat. Your life would be made difficult if you make waves. The Sheriffs are different. They are autonomous because they are constitutional officers. The only ones that can really do anything are the feds. The agency you mentioned is not an investigative body and has no enforcemnt mandate against an elected official or anyone else. They only have the authority concerning educational and training standards for law enfrcwent training and academies throughout the state. Only the Cook County Sheriff or the Illinois State police can take action. But good luck with that. The feds have the best chance if federal laws have been violated. Ms. Henyard will be standing alone for her actions. Her minions might join her in an accessory role.

As someone who works in the cannabis industry in IL, I can tell you that IL is the most regulated, most taxed, and most corrupt state on cannabis. Our gov has stock in big cannabis producers in IL, these companies love IL's high tax and lower number of cultivators because they can charge way more and cash in more than other states that have insanely high numbers of cultivators/growers. When IL legalized, they only allowed a limited number of cultivator licenses for sale and a good chunk of them were reserved for "minorities", turned out only a hand full of super wealthy companies owned by "minorities" bought up most of the licenses leaving out any chance of actual mom/pop business from starting that would have been owned by legit minority communities. All of the companies our Gov Pritzker has stock in. I have been selling the same hand full of companies products for the last 3 years since I started with only maybe 4-5 new small companies that have started since, however every single one of them was bought out by a bigger company and is now an "affiliate" cultivator that follows those bigger companies rules. And I can say with absolute confidence that product quality from these bigger companies has gotten shittier and shittier while the newer smaller companies put out really good product until they're inevitably bought out. IL governors have always had a history of being insanely corrupt, and it's happened with both parties. Side note: careful which dispensaries you visit now too. China is sending people over here to buy huge chunks of land and are now producing their own cannabis companies all sending money back to China.

Keep in mind universities dont exist to teach undergrads: they exist to do original research work, which in STEM is extremely difficult and competitive. The most "leftist" stuff we see is grants that "prefer underrepresented applicants". Its annoying, but it's nothing like the ideology in the humanities. The science itself has not been affected: it's just as hard to get work into good journals as it ever was. As for teaching, I have two BS degrees, one in math, one in physics. I have a PhD in math. I never heard a single word of leftist ideology in the classroom. Not one. It was just straight hard science the whole way through. There was really no commentary on...anything. You walk in, they whip out the differential equations. Lest you think it's just not at my university, I work at a major university in southern california. The humanities stuff is really, really bad here. But not STEM. If you look at polling on faculty voting issues, you can see a massive difference between humanities faculty and STEM faculty. The STEM folks just don't buy into ideology...we want to see data. So please stop lumping us in with the humanities. Getting a STEM degree today is just as real as it ever was. Nobody talks about racism, nobody talks about equity, gravity is still governed by the general relativity theory, and yes, we teach that to undergrads...they have their hands full trying to keep up, there is no room for leftism. Most people don't realize how advanced STEM academics really are. We teach the courses for PhDs too. You can't fake this stuff.

The fact that she’s a single mom to a such a young child would be the main reason I would reason enough not to vote for her. From what I understand the father is not a part of the child’s day to day life. So if she’s working none stop as she claims, who’s raising her child.
