Thanks Bro Harry. The next video will wrap up the work on the tank. The tank has been a longer project than I anticipated. It’s looking real good though. I appreciate the comments.

Excellent Job , I'd spray the bare metal first as you did, then apply the fiberglass. Thanks for sharing this Phillip, I hope it cools down for you soon.

Yes sir, I think spraying the metal first is the way to go. I have never been as ready for cooler weather in my life as I am this year. It has definitely been hot. Then again, cold weather brings it's own issues. Thanks for watching Tom!

Need to let in induce for 30 min. minumum. I usually mix the night before, read 4 hour induce minumum is better...

SPI epoxy will work with no induction, and was originally sold without that recommendation. They started recommending induction times sometime later based on real world testing. Minimum 30 minutes induction helps it be more forgiving as far as spraying in less than perfect conditions. At least 4 hours is recommended if you are going to expose it to UV and are using as a final topcoat. So, if you are using it as a primer under bodywork or under high build and paint, and you are spraying in perfect air and perfect conditions, you don’t really have to let it induce at all according to Barry at SPI. Thanks for the comment and for watching!

Nice to see you getting some protection on that bare metal... What’s your initial thoughts on the SPI products?? Does it spray and lay out as good as the PPG epoxy ?? What you sprayed looks like it had good coverage with just 2 coats... I believe that sealing the bare metal first, then doing body filler is the better way to go... have seen times where filler was applied on bare metal to cover pitting and imperfections , and it didn’t adhere good and started to show blistering under the paint.... Till your next video my friend... Stay excited... lol

So far, I like the SPI epoxy. Epoxy isn't supposed to be sandable, but this stuff definitely is. I'm no chemist, and I don't know all about how this primer is formulated, but it's definitely different than any other epoxy I've used. It sands pretty well, and I'm seeing no evidence of it trying to lift from the metal where I'm sanding through. It feathers down to bare metal very well. I'm doing body work on it now, and the filler sticks to the primer well. I had a spot where I dropped a little filler on the primer in an area where I didn't need it, and I couldn't get it off after it cured. I had to sand it off, so it was definitely stuck very well.. It sprays out nicely, as expected with any good primer. It covers fast and goes on thick. I am using a Iwata Air Gunsa primer gun made for shooting heavy bodied products like polyester primers, and it really lays it down well. If this primer holds up as it should and passes the test of time, I think it's a game changer. I'm completely satisfied so far. I will probably discuss it more in my next video. Thanks for watching and commenting friend.
