Imagine missing lethal on Turn 2 against the Cultist at 2:10. The run never recovered from there

I feel that most strat games one can easily suffer from “spectator syndrome” (spectator always has the right answer). Always the case playing chess personally unless masters are at the board.
@jadenrrose4 жыл бұрын
You're absolutely right. Even in a game between Grand Masters, there could be an International Master or even FIDE Master commentating and they'll often see a better move than the competitor sees, even before consulting an engine. I'm guessing that because the commentator is (or should be) looking at both sides equally, they'll often see ideas develop for e.g. white a move before black notices.

@pennding34154 жыл бұрын
@@soorian6493 there is also a weird phenomenon where the way some one learns to do something blinds them to better ways of doing it. there was one study where they tracked the eye movement of master level chess players and when ever they missed a better move it's because they just never looked at it.

Defrag vs Biased Cog: Do you have ways to prevent or remove debuffs reliably? If your answer is yes, Biased Cog is better If your answer is no, you'll go farther with Defrag Really though Most players will probably have the means to deal with the debuff in any serious runs they have
@jakx2ob4 жыл бұрын
Biased Cog is still not necessarily worse even if you can't remove the debuff.
@timpind.82374 жыл бұрын
lol what? biased cog is often better even if you don’t get a way to remove your debuff. something to remember about the way biased cog works is that it doesn’t have “four turns before it’s worse than a defrag”, because even when you’ve been hit by the focus down three times it’s still done a ton in the fight already leading it to actually have about five or six turns before it’s “done less” than a defrag, and that’s not even *considering* the fact that you often get much stronger over the course of a fight, making things that give you incredible headstarts early in the fight absolutely incredible even with major drawbacks to try and balance out the incredible benefit it gives you.

Hey Jorbs, I know you get far too many book recommendations to actually read them all but if you're interested in a fun, fantasy romp I suggest Kelly McCullough's Fallen Blade series. Highly enjoyable video, as always.

yes the defect can recycle and it it also can generate huge amounts of block with good decks and has good energy generation than others void of deva form and i find him quite fun and i does have scaling just in focus and if you have reprogram than strength and dex

I kinda miss watcher runs edit : also to say that EVERY run can have artifact charges reliably is not the best argument for biased cognition Vs defrag
@pitmaster2264 жыл бұрын
Not charges plural. Just one, single artifact charge. Defect has artifact potion, panacea (from stores or sensory stone), clockwork souvenir, core surge, and orange pellets counts as well. It’s a very wide base to acquire debuff clear from.
@Ventoms5194 жыл бұрын
but every run is different, and even to assume that you would always get one is very biased (get it?)
@timpind.82374 жыл бұрын
Ventoms yeah, but he’s also made plenty of points to the value of biased cog so many times before that maybe he just viewed it all as common knowledge or not relevant to the discussion at hand.
