Hey Matt, thanks for sharing your new process for bucking logs with a helper. Always nice getting ideas from others. I've also had overheating and fuel boiling issues when trying to cut on hot afternoons with my 500i.

Thanks for watching. Overheated saws are definitely aggravating.

I've had my 400 do the same thing a few weeds ago also. Roadside stand is looking awesome and I wear full wrap chaps over my shorts all the time and deal with the wood chips later on.

How can you guys stand bucking in shorts??? Even with chaps over shorts, it drives me crazy. Feels like a thousand ants on right leg, plus filling up my shoes with sawdust. Doesn't matter how hot it is, I wear long pants (& chaps) till I'm finished bucking.

I guess we got tough skin lol. The shoe thing does suck but it’s not too bad.

So i was told once you dont ever wanna run these saws out of fuel, it sucks all the dirt that may be in your tank into the carb. Heat is also the saws worse enemy too, we need water cooled saws in the summer.😂😂 I cut in shorts this week too, the safety police can enjoy one of my upcoming videos too💪💪 boots full of saw dust tho is horrible, may as well throw that lair of socks away, they'll never be the same. The bags look great too, bagging is so much easier, although im still doing wrapped as well. Happy Monday cheers☕️☕️

Had my 400 do that one time in 100 deg temps. Just turned on my truck a/c held it in front of it for a few minutes and it fired right up again😂 I think they vapor lock when it’s that hot. 🤷♂️ Good to see sales are good. Have a happy 4th Matt👊🏻

This heat is just crazy . I take 5-6 saws on every job plus 2 bucket saws that way I can let them cool and keep working . The newer saws and sorry gas just sucks .

Chainsaws are air cooled naturally, so pulling the engine block shroud to check that the cooling fins are free of debris might be an idea. Plus, please don't let your dad cut in sandals! And encourage him to always keep two hands on the saw...that was sort of scary!

Also...like a diesel but for different reason, you should never run your 2 stroke engine out of fuel as it is what lubricates the bottom end of your engine. Pretty lucky you did not seize the piston.

Yes I try not to run them out but the heat is what caused it.
