Of course its connected. Ruins always implied that monsters were stuck behind the barrier, being unable to escape and had hope that they might one day or another. Waterfall, shows the restlessness of the monsters desperately trying to escape to the surface, since its been a long time. And Undyne is Determined for monsters to all go free! She is fighting for them! A true hero! That theme that connects them all, is just that. Being stuck in the underground "theme".

The fact that undyne's theme is connected to froggit's makes me so happy. I'm not sure why Aaron is there, but it might be bc of what undyne symbolises? She fights for the whole underground. She fights For the little guys as much as she fights for the king. Maybe Aaron is there to emphasize that? Froggit and Aaron are completely different, yet undyne fights for them all the same. Makes me glad that every song is connected in some way. Eve. If it isn't about undyne, it's still neat.
