I caught my first swarm a couple days ago!!! It’s was most likely from hives on my property. I actually got to see the swarm happening, and then later found them, caught them, and now have them in a Layens swarm trap!! Soon to be moved in to their new Layens Horizontal hive!! Thanks for the information & encouragement at your workshop!! You all are awesome! And now we have bees at The Healing Homestead!!! 🐝 🐝🐝

I really do love how you explain through "show and tell" what is going on. I've been beekeeping on and off for a few years and I STILL feel like a newbie, partly because learning through books, formal classes, and other KZbinrs can be a bit dry and too technical. Thank you for making it sound simpler!

Three weeks ago I pulled 18 splits from my full size colonies. 15 of them raised their own queens and they’re laying. One split either completely absconded or they went back to the original colony. One split hadn’t made a queen so I gave it a frame of open brood with a lot of eggs. One split made a poor laying queen. Shotgun brood so I plan on snuffing that queen and giving the split a frame of open brood . So far I am having a 97% success ratio.

When I was younger in elementary school a swarm decided to land on me, it wasn’t that many but it was a lot, I was wearing this yellow zip up hoodie and bee’s just started landing on me and I stood still and didn’t freak out at all and I remember looking at my hand and they were digging into my nails and then I blacked out and the next thing I remember I was waking up in the nurse’s office and they wouldn’t give me my hoodie lol. I can’t wait to have my own hive one day! I’ve always loved bee’s and I love watching them in my garden 🐝

Have you ever looked into using tuning forks on the bees? Maybe the Schumann forks which is the resonance of the earth. Its a very calming frequency. Eileen Day McKusick on youtube is pretty much THE expert on the biofield tuning topic which is one of the beat healing modalities out there IMO. Anyway, I like to share forgotten knowledge with those who are open and interested. Electro Culture Farming is another forgotten technology that's really taking off (Elevate Cultivate on youtube). If these resonate check them out. You'll know right away if they work or not.

I've found your bees and honey content fascinating and it got me wondering something...I see a lot of talk about raw honey vs. processed honey (bear squeeze bottle). What would your method be considered and what's the difference between the two types of finished product? Also, will raw honey crystalize like the processed honey? Please keep doing what you're doing, all the content is fascinating! I've started some herbs for the first time after watching some of your videos and I'm looking forward to some holy basil tea this year 😊

Help! Lol I have mason bees and homes for them. This year my bestie and I were supposed to start beekeeping together. Well there were moldy hive inserts I had to clean and have them outside in a Rubbermaid container. Making a long story short I just found out a few mins ago I have honey bees that are making a home in my grill shelf. Should I get more trays and try a walk down method like you do with a swarm? I don’t have a swarm and I thought the honey bees were our mason bees but they’re honey bees 🥰. These bees are in a metal narrow slat of the shelf on the grill. Small holes… My friend has bee homes on her dads property, but we weren’t ready to set them up yet. But in this case being new and not wanting to hurt them I’m looking for advice
