Good Morning, Lumnah Acres! My favorite soup is Vegetable Beef. I made some yesterday. I usually use anything from ground beef to prime steak as the beef; whatever I have on hand. Then just add as many vegetables as I can find in the fridge/freezer, but I always have to have cut okra, potatoes and tomatoes in mine! Yesterday's had ground beef, diced tomatoes and sauce, beef stock, onions, garlic, celery, carrots, peas, green beans, lima beans, corn, potatoes, okra and a couple of hand fulls of pasta that I bashed into smaller pieces with a kitchen mallet! Season with whatever herbs you like and add salt and pepper to taste. We had ours with cornbread muffins. So delicious! Thanks for the video!!

I just love watching Al build. I went out (a single lady) and purchased a nail gun like Al's, and am now having a blast creating things for my homestead. First it's fixing the leaky garage/shed roof and now I'm collecting all the lumber needed for a new chicken coop/run complex. Too many predators here for my girls to run loose, hoping a 30X8 covered chicken run will suit them. Thanks Al, you are an inspiration, loving my nail gun. Happy Birthday Gina, you are amazing, it's watching all you do that Al has taught you that has given me the courage to try. I love watching your channel each morning. Corn chowder sounds good for dinner, it's one of my favorites as a transplanted New Englander (NH) to Colorado.

That looks yummy Gina and I will be trying it. The base you used with chopped bacon, onion and garlic I use for a pasta dinner. The bacon is your main meat so use 3 times more than you used in this video. Then take out the bacon, add your onions and garlic until soften. Once that's cooked add a pasta sauce of your choice and the fried bacon. We add chilli flakes as well and cook until your pasta is cooked, then serve. This is a quick dinner for me so happy days.

One of my favorite soup recipes is 1 lb of ground beef, 2 cartons beef bone broth, 1 cabbage sliced, 2 quarts of diced tomatoes, carrots, corn, onion, and garlic to taste. You can add any vegetables you have on hand but the base is the beef broth and tomatoes. This could be good with diced ham instead of beef or maybe even ground pork. Lot's of nutrients.

My mom always made this for us as children. Loved it. She never put carrots but I would try that. She also made corn bread to go with it and put corn in the bread. Al the side of the new building looks really great. You can tell you take great pride in everything you do! Dig up!

An idea for a winter project would be to build yourself some clean out bins you can move around with the tractors forks. You often are moving lighter weight but bulky things that fill the bucket of the tractor so a box with 3 fixed walls and one removable sectioned wall would make some jobs easier on you like placing inside the greenhouse then backing the tractor out so you can close the doors or setting next to a clean up project and still having the tractor for another job at the same time. A spot for some chains to secure it to the tractor for dumping would make it easy to use too. With some wagon style wheels on it you can even get it into spots the tractor itself can't and then just tow it to a spot you can lift and dump/rake out.

I love a vegetable soup with cabbage and potatoes and carrots, onions and garlic as the base then what ever other veggies you have to add to it. Summer squash/winter squash/sweet potatoes/tunups, then I add canned Tomatos, corn, Green beans and or peas, and sometimes whole Barley. Big pot for cold days! Good with corn bread! I've been jealous of watching you use your pressure pot. I made him a corned beef/cabbage dinner in his pressure pot last week. I think I will order the dehydrating racks to use. I've never dehydrated anything so that will be a good entry level dehydrator. I love how easy it is to use. Can't wait to try some of your recipes.

Happy (belated Birthday) Gina! My husband used to work at a restaurant in Milford NH that made a country turkey vegetable soup. It is made with dark and light turkey meat, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, onion and celery. You boil the carcass, strain, and make a buttery roux. The broth is almost gravy-like and flavorful. It's a great way to use up your thanksgiving turkey. Sourdough bread is the perfect accoutrement. That is my favorite soup.

Mama goats are does, papa goats are bucks, older goats not able to be bred are nannies and older males are Billy’s. Neutered males are wethers. The act of giving birth is kidding. I'm enjoying the building. All excited about how it's going to look when it's finished. :) I have a hard time with android 10 :( . Anyway, As a hen gets older she lays larger eggs. I think that Jumbos are the ones of the oldest of the oldest hens, so probably the rarest. Large the most used and common. So older than a pullet, but not an old hen. Beef stew- there is the New England that uses milk or cream, could use goats milk in the broth? The tomato paste or stewed tomato stew which uses tomato in the broth, lastly just broth and thickener. I like the non-Gmo cornstarch, but you can use wheat flour or maybe rice flour too. Then beef chunks, potato chunks, carrot chunks, celery and onion, garlic diced, salt and pepper, ( oregano and basil opt., but good in the tomato). Cook beef in pinot noir wine and add chicken, beef or vegetable broth(4 cups) (Ingreds: are a pound each of meat and vegetables celery and garlic less, but to taste. Not sweet potatos, but russet, red, golden or other white potato used. I love ice cream made with goat's milk. You use it in place of cow's milk or cream. It's fantastic!
