You can use one smelter to cook all ores in same time,and filter after smelter if you want ...is an power save

That's true. I'm loosely planning for scaling things up later which is why I have multiple smelters. Pretty soon we may be feeding in a stream of ore from the planetoids to this same smeltery area. I'm not quite sure yet.

Not played the game myself, waiting for release rather than early access. But from watching other vids you can configure the splitters. Interact with them and there will be three text boxes at the bottom of the window you can do output ratios with. You can also set those to 0 so that one direction doesn't output at all, this way you can use belts right next to each other and still use splitters.

I don't really like the look of compact factories, so I usually try to leave a space between my belts intentionally. That said, I want to rework the belt design here, because it would look cleaner to just have the pusher block right at the beginning of each smelter line. There's no reason to run that parallel belt for the middle line of smelters. I can also bring all of those smelters back a few blocks too. We'll keep revising as we go. Things may change with our smelting setup quite a bit once we start routing the ore in from the planetoids. We made use of the configurable splitters and did exactly as you mention in a previous video this series. 😺

The tool you get when you hit “Q” you can left click and drag to select multiple items, then push the “delete key” on keyboard. That’s how you delete multiple objects at one time. The “control-right click” is more for spot treatment.

There is a top plate that fits over the asteroid catchers just perfectly and looks nice, will fill in the gaps between the solar panel platforms and the catchers.

I actually don't mind the gaps. The solar platforms stick out a tiny bit past the asteroid catchers, so I'm not sure an extra plate would look good right at the ends. Maybe they'd be fine for the interior though. I'll give it some thought. Thanks! 😺

just a thought. you pushed the ore to left before the smelters if you had pushed left you could have lined things up with less room.

I've been waiting until I have my main platform a bit more organized since I know I'm going to move my oxygen generator. I hardly even think about getting oxygen since it lasts pretty long, but I realize it's probably driving some viewers crazy so I'll try to get to it soon. 😺
