For the record "A Railway With a Heart of Gold" was made by Canadian filmmaker Carson Davison in 1953, released in 1965 iirc - It's separate to the 1950s BBC productions about the Talyllyn.

Lovely Planning! This summer I'm planning on visiting wales with my parents to go here and see the Talyllyn! It's a treat for me to hear that you are starting to revamp some things, but also turn some things into others. I cannot wait to visit! Ever since I've gotten into this railway, I'm really hyped at any updates on engines/scenery/buildings, because I know it's my favorite narrow gauge railway that's doing such. This makes me so happy to see, a historic railway aiming to ensure the future is a huge part of planning! One day I plan on travelling to the UK to visit the heritage railway scene, and would love nothing more than to spend some time volunteering at said railways, such as the Talyllyn. That is years away, but will happen one day. And the Talyllyn is top of the list!

I can understand where you’re coming from, but I think there’s so many positives from these changes! The current look of the railway will be remembered and documented fondly for sure, but these changes mean that the railway can continue to serve more people and build an even bigger community of supporters, helping it continue to exist long into the future we hope! The TR have always managed a wonderful balance of historic preservation while also developing and expanding for future generations!

Regardless of your views, surely you must agree that those people should feel safe to enjoy their hobby the same as everyone else? Apart from those who refuse to maintain common decency and are disrespectful to their fellow volunteers. Those sorts of people don't tend to be made very welcome.

I don't know if it is just me but I find the Talyllyn theme tune really annoying and having it playing in the background for the whole video ruined what I thought was otherwise a really good video.
