Them laughing at the funeral was a callback to the bomb episode in season two. Izzie told Alex that she laughs at funerals.

"Arizona keeps bringing me donuts..." Just kills me. This is such good TV, man. Grief and grieving happens while life is moving - so this whole episode and the next one struck me as incredibly accurate.

God George death was tragic and very realistic for a hospital, they sadly have other patients and other people who need their help to stay alive and the doctors don't have time to take a break and mourn.

The fact that Bailey named her son after him 😭...George was her favorite and I know even though she didn’t visibly show it, she's going through it. Callie hyperventilating hit close to home. I remember when I lost my great grandmother and we had just arrived to visit her at the time of her death. Her being gone was unfathomable. I didn’t realize it at the time, but I was hyperventilating. Greys does such a good job at emulating real life situations. Just like when they laugh at the funeral. Merediths monologues also really get me as well. No matter how many times I watch this show I always cry even though I know what's going to happen.

"Dorky little dude" is 100% my type and I would be absolutely as hung up on George as Callie was when Mer and Cristina realized "George is Callie's McDreamy".

Bailey with the organ donation scene made me cry.

Them laughing at the funeral always gets me laughing. When experiencing loss it's good to laugh cause everything else is so depressing and sucks. Also everyone reacts differently to grief so I think that's the main reason Izzie laughed. It's much easier to laugh then cry, man I'll miss MAGIC sm. George was the heart of the group and one of my fav characters

yes when i found out about death in my family my first reaction is to laugh about and i i don't even know why

This was a heartbreaking episode, but the funeral scene was like watching the funeral scene from Steel Magnolias, sometimes it’s just best to break the silent pain with ridiculous laughter. Thank you Travis ❤.

Lol can’t wait until we see you with this season’s finale… ps all the season finale’s from now on really have you needing a long walk after watching them

When you said "call other people in".... I could feel very isolating to someone in the healthcare industry that it seems that you are unaware of the emotional cost of what they do when you are the person interacting with them. You've probably had doctors galore walking by you or treating you that were living inside of a very broken or at a very exhausting part of their day. And they don't bring that into their encounter with you. How to say, that I believe there is a**load of doctors who might wish they didn't have to, that understand that the answer is there is nobody else

Gahhh, I've been waiting for this and checking out your channel everyday since you posted the S5 finale reaction, lol Here we gooo with the really Golden Era of the show, and coincidentally the one where I started watching live, ayyy...The sentiment is so hard with this premiere, but even without it that two-parter is sooo top notch, up there with the best of them! The fact that after all these years it can make me have to forcibly hold back tears for a character I wasn't even a fan of, that's the ultimate testament to the talent of the Grey's writers' team! :') 'Cause even though I may not be one to overly mourn George himself, I sure as hell am going to do that re:every single character's connection to him & vice versa and the impact he's had on their lives, especially after having followed you (and the OG gang - whose laughing scene at the funeral is straight up the show's most/first quintessential [and layered to the max, ugh!] one that comes to mind; and when I say that it did somehow alter my brain chemistry/define me as a teen I am not exaggerating) on this (re)watching journey for a bit now, how poetic...Think I'm ready for a (first) full rewatch of my own now - think I can squeeze in 400+ episodes before March 14th? Lol Keep doing you, T. I love your reactions every single time. And while we're at it: let's grab a drink one day when we're old and senile (sic!) and reminisce on all the 20+ seasons if life allows it, with our twisted smiles. For now I'mma try and pour one out by my lonesome for you and us (the people who grew up watching this show) once your reaction to the second part drops, haaa. Didn't mean to sound overly parasocially cringe but idc, I've got enough trouble editing my shit as is on the daily basis, let alone a heartfelt comment like this one, where the fact of the matter is you truly have comforted me in some tougher times to such a degree that these GA reactions (and opinions!) in particular have become a weekly ritual for me at this point, like a warm blanket. While I have your attention - have you ever watched Desperate Housewives? If not I think you'd genuinely love the show and would love to see even a handful of reactions of yours to it! And are the True Blood reactions done (sorry if I missed any sort of announcement). Excited for even more shows (and films mayhaps) and more growth for your as a creator in this year! Xx P.S. I also got into 911 last year but haven't gotten past halfway-ish of S2, sooo maybe your reactions will be the stimulus that I need to revisit it. I rarely comment (can see why lol) but I'm always lurking!
