Man I was a bit mad at myself the other day for collecting Yu-Gi-Oh cards when I was younger instead of Pokémon cards. But I took out my old binder and started to feel immense nostalgia. I even kept most of the old wrappers I used to open at the card shop which unfortunately has closed down by now. I remembered when I wanted the tins and packs so much I would put all my old videogames in a backpack and rode my bicycle to the card shop for some credits at the card store just to buy more cards. Or when I wanted the Legendary collection binder with the 3 Gods for my birthday and my mom was like "are you sure you want this for your birthday 🤨?". And I was mesmerized by the three cards while eating at Subway. All these memories are something I cherish now and I wouldn't trade my Yu-Gi-Oh cards for anything.

I really hope you read read this, but please, please upgrade those frames to UV Resistant Glass. Otherwise, those cards will absolutely be damaged, and fade if any sunlight gets to them. This is especially true if they happen to end up at the wrong angle compared to energy efficient windows. Energy efficient windows can actually have a focusing effect on UV radiation at certain angles. This could potentially accelerate the UV wear on those cards. That said, as someone who played and collected MTG for years, I find this to be genuinely impressive. I realize that you're very well off, but even with money, it's still a lot of fucking work to put something like this together. Seriously though, please put those behind UV glass if you're going to hang them.

@Charziken2 жыл бұрын
@@JackSpad3s PSA is probably the most well known card grading company. Basically it's a scale of a cards condition. a 1 is heavily damaged, (folds, bends, etc) whereas a ten is pristine. The thing that makes me agree with Charlie about grading being a complete scam is the complete and utter lack of transparency on why they will dock points. There have been numerous situations where someone gets a PSA 9 cracks it open and send it back and it comes back as a 10. Which in and of itself shows how subjective degrading is how inconsistent it is and how much there is a need for there to be actual notes as to why your score is what it is. They don't do that though because they know that there are situations where they can't justifiably say it's not a 10 but they seem to just decide that it isn't anyways.
@NatePhan2 жыл бұрын
I watched a few return videos and the person mentions that sometimes they will dock your score from a 10 to a 9 is to keep the pool of 10s lower so the price stays high. Pretty ridiculous if you ask me.

Same thing with banknotes. Coins is way more easier/consistent but still subjective. Buy the object, not the Holder they say ;)

As someone who's played yugioh since SDK/SDY first came to america, this collection is absolutely ridiculous. Theres so much nostalgia in the older sets and that starlight frame, worth thousands. This is the most impressive collection I've seen in my almost 20 years of playing. Good shit Charlie

As a yugioh player this is quite literally the most impressive thing I have ever seen. I don't necessarily collect but I happened to pull the 10,000 Dragon and lost my mind and framed it immediately and it fills me with such joy with just that one card so I could never even imagine what having that entire collection must be like super happy for you dude

but did he ever pull a misprint test error card???? ill never forget sitting in my moms van after leaving the store with her i opened up the few packs she bought me went straight to the rare spot in the pack and saw a card with just striped colors like bars (pink yellow black blue) and was like OMG i got robbed!! i got no rare card! i almost threw it away right there in the van in my moms lil seat trashcan behind her seat.i ended up keeping it and looking it up later on in life and figured out its actually a misprint and quite rare but doesn’t sell for a ton i sold mine for 100$ years later on ebay but DAMN thats one heck of a card pull. i think you gotta be pretty lucky to pull one.

I was in love with Yu-Gi-Oh cards when I was a kid. But, my living conditions were rotten, with roach infestations, rotting houses, ferret/dog shit everywhere, and, occasionally, fleas. Unfortunately that lifestyle seeped into my cards and into my head, as I let my cards be damaged, lost, stolen, and disregarded over time. I'm glad that you could keep a treasure like this intact.

The PSA system is something I dealt with when I collected football cards. They don't give perfect scores out sometimes even if they are mint. It has to do with not wanting to flood the market. If every mint card was 10, their grading system would be less valuable.
