I've noticed Lowina's troop tends to be more on guard towards him, compared to the other troops who've known his presence for so long they know he's not a danger. Not his fault, it's likely just an inherited behavior towards humans. IIRC, Lowina lost her eye to a human with acid.

I to worry about Bo trying to get revenge. These monkey's are smart I'm pretty sure Floffi remembers what Bo did in the past, but question is now will Bo remember and hang on to a grudge for embarrassing her. I truly hope they can sort things out without another baby being harmed it would be horrific for the baby and Floffi, but it seems Fozzi is close most of the time too and she is trying to help Floffi. The question is, has Lowina defended her younger daughters against Bo. This will elevate their ranking over Bo, if in fact Lowina has. Also, if the beta male is defending Floffi over Bo, this will protect her and her baby. This beta male is possibly the baby's father. It is apparent Lowina and the beta male gave Floffi and Fozzi the courage to attack Bo. This is exactly what this troop needs. Fozzi to become the matriarch.

Who knows what went on before we got a peek. The whole troop seemed on edge before Mr AM spotted floffi. Perhaps there's been something brewing?

@@philbert006 I agree. Bo seems to have or is in the process of losing her ranking above her younger sisters. We have never seen either one of these girls attack Bo. Who knows what lead up to this altercation. Revenge may not be a possibility especially if these two girls stand up against her with the beta male, Bo will not win. We just might be seeing the beginning of the change of the matriarch. Time will tell. I do not see any baby safe as long as Bo is alive regardless of ranking. Who knows if Bo will eventually snatch up Floffi's or Fozzi's baby. (I think Fozzi is pregnant). Donna's girls babies are definitely at risk too.

Bo gets what she deserves. She could have handed those babies back instead of letting them die. Floffi followed Bo everywhere the last time, trying to get her baby back, and Bo refused. Bo knew that baby wasn't hers. She made her choice-it seems that she's paying the price for her choices. I think Lowina was watching all this time. She finally acted like the matriarch she should be.

Bo doesn't show real signs of giving up. The moment she saw Floffi grooming Fozzi (or Leo?) and not gripping her baby, she started walking towards it. Floffi had to physically jump away. Me thinks Bo needs another lesson to keep her distance because, as AM said, no one can be on guard 24/7😮 Come on Lowina, Foffi and Beta male. Team work!

Oh yeah, you can tell Bo is biding her time and waiting for the right moment to strike. It's so unfair because Floffi can't hold her baby 24/7, its getting older and needs to move around and interact with the others. But with Bo looming over the infant waiting for a chance to steal her its more a matter of when then if. However, seeing Lowina. - who hadn't done anything up until then - lash out at Bo makes me believe that Floffi and Fozzi at least are willing to fight back with force against Bo,.

I like Dana but she has lost 3 babies that we know of. Dana allows her babies a lot of independence very early on in their life which is often scary to watch. I'm amazed she has only lost 3 babies with all that traffic about.

What are we going to name the baby? How about Flöwena? Thanks to Löweina for stepping up and laying down the law! Its a relief that they finally laid down the law for Bo. I guess they needed it to happen a few times and to more than one mom to really understand what happened and how to prevent it again. I feel sorry for Bo because if she could have babies, she would have been a good mom. Bo sure was getting awdully close to Flöffi's baby, tho. I think they were just waiting for Bo to make a bad move, and she did. She started grooming the baby right in Flöffi's arms. And Flöffi is being very vigilant, keeping a hand or a foot on the baby any way she can.

The troop seemed on edge even before floffi was spotted. It's important to remember that Bo isn't taking babies as revenge or cruelty, but as a result of trauma from human interference. They don't necessarily see her as a threat to the babies. That being said, the troop will almost certainly follow the lead of Llowina and that high ranking male, regardless of the reasoning behind their attack.

​@@philbert006 We have to remember that these primates are capable of feeling jealousy, anger, and envy. AM had a video about it. They can also tell right from wrong. Their emotional intelligence is pretty high. I'm pretty sure they can develop mental health issues as well. The sad bit is that if Bo were a benign aunt she would have access to all these babies. However she knew she was doing the wrong thing (watch her behaviour when she has a baby), and so, I can't feel sorry for her 🤷🏻‍♀️

@@philbert006 Result of trauma from human interference is just your speculation. There is no scientific base on this comment. There are many hypotheses of why female macaques kidnap and kill babies. Sterilization has NEVER BEEN inferred as the reason. This behavior happens with sterilized and fertile females. I do agree sterilization may be a FACTOR but I'm not a primatologist nor have I ever spent years observing these macaques 24/7 like researchers have. Thus, I tend to believe articles published by researchers which are based on scientific methodology and calculations.

As sad as what happened to Bo is, one can't ignore the fact Bo's killed four infants that we know of over the last few years. Those babies were all clearly terrified and desperate to get back to their mothers, to say nothing of the fact that they were slowly dying from starvation and dehydration. That is a painful and terrible way to go. The moms were trying to get their babies back peacefully but Bo would not budge. Bo has done this repeatedly, it is cruel and she just does not care. I feel more sorry for Floffi, Fozzi, and their children. Neither has been allowed to be a mother because of Bo's obsession/interference and those babies don't get the chance to live because Bo would rather that they die in her arms than give them back to their rightful mothers. It's got to be stressful for poor Floffi, who clearly is working hard to keep her infant safe and alive. Re-watching this I'm afraid that it is inevitable Bo will succeed in stealing the infant from Floffi and she will die like all her siblings and cousins before her. As messed up as it is that Bo got sterilized it is more messed up that she gets away with murdering her sister's offspring out of spite.

I missed the video on why Bo is bad, I have an idea where it's going, I think. Im actually more worried about how careless Flozzi is being with that sweet little baby. She grabs her, to hard, an she slams the poor thing into her chest. She doesn't hold on tight enough to her baby. THAT is really scary to me, she can fall to easily bcuz she's not held onto tight enough. Huh. Dana's babies historically all start with a D (Damien, Daria, Dave, Darin, Debbie, and Dale) with the exception of her eldest daughter Wibby. The only mothers that have offspring names that start with a K are Gypse from Bossy's troop, and Maya from Skull Heads troop.
