Hi CC! I appreciate your thoughts and feelings and I've been genuinely considering doing this exact thing. My thoughts have been to get a used Class A RV and an enclosed 7x14 trailer that is setup as a mobile garage to haul the bike. Recommend buying your RV in a western/southern state due to salt and rust factors from the rustbelt vehicles. Bring one all around bike in the trailer, or two if you feel like it, then travel around, vlogging on the road. Setup an editing studio in the RV and release your vids while on the road. T-Mobile home internet will suffice as your ISP and they don't mind you moving the modem from location to location, Verizon's home internet will not be happy with new towers and locations so can't recommend them. Get a cell booster installed on your RV to benefit your cell signal. Spend a month or two in an area, then move to a new place. Your dog will be comfy in the RV and tons of people in RV parks have small high energy dogs and are great to meet while on the road. In your van she was in a cage which is rather horrible for little high energy pups because of the boredom. Plus in an RV you wont stink up the sleeping quarters as badly when you take a dump. You can mix it up with seasonal travel and be back in Ohio for the beautiful summer and fall colors, then head back on the road when Ohio's riding season starts to tapper off. Since your house is paid for, have a trusted friend or neighbor keep and eye on things and forward mail to you as needed once or twice a month. Great content my friend, thanks for all you've shared with us through the years! Happy travels/riding!

CC, I hear someone that doens't seem happy, I'm just keeping it 100 with you, from a viewer's perspective. You seem like something is missing, not that you're looking for the next adventure, but that you're looking for something that's missing. How active are you in your community? Volunteer for stuff, help build a house, organize a charity event. It helps. Don't look for _content_ look for something that means something to you. Service to others, then your next "thing" will become apparent. It helps bring clarity.

Hi, Kemosabe. I can easily respect your hunger to experience something new, and I can doubly respect your caretaking sense of responsiility for your pooch. There is a very strong caretaker part of you (i.e. your grandmom and pooch) that deserves to be honored and respected too. What a blessing that part of you is. Here's my suggestion from someone who has adventured this world for decades, Kemosabe. Consider ADDING instead of replacing a whole new adventure field to give you the new experienxce that you are hungry for. I can't include links here, so plug in the terms AUTOGYRO, POWERED PARACHUTING and TRIKE FLYING into your favorite search engine to get a taste of some new adventures. They all can fit in your garage, and flying gives you the same exhileration that motorcying does. Happy discovering your next adventures, Kemosabe.

I had a truck camper years ago and it was fun with my Dad when he was alive. Did kayaking and some fishing too. Newer kevlar inflatable kayaks pack easy in a tote box and can be inflated and deflated with a high volune air pump like from Coleman. I also went through a jeep phase and did some rock crawling and off-roading in the mountains when I got laid off several years ago. Had 33 inch tires with a 4" lift on the jeep. Went pretty much everywhere I wanted to go in my skill area. I dont regret those times at all but now days Im stuck in the daily grind. If you have a chance to travel do it when you can for sure. Younger folks make sure you save at least 10% a paycheck towards retirement like a 401k. Dont put that off no matter what. I watched my Grandparents and my Dads health decline too. As a caregiver it was challenging but again I wouldnt change anything. I just wish I could travel more now and see more national parks and maybe a couple tropical areas like Bora Bora and around the Maldives but those trips are expensive. I got a 250 Honda Rally and rode in the mountains too. Saw many side by sides they taking over the trails but it looks fun just hate to spend twenty grand on those. But if you tent camp the mountains trips can be fairly cheap using a 4x4 truck to haul a dual sport bike. Hey man be safe God Bless. Stay positive. For the record I sincerely believe we are living in the last days before the rapture at any time. Putting all trust in Jesus. The rest is just life. Amen 🙂

It depends on what you think is '"exciting". I always wanted to buy a motor home (or truck with a camper) and drive Route 66 (or what's left of it) and see a of the beautiful sights in each state. You could also take your truck/camper and visit all of the haunted sights across the US.

I’ve had a couple high energy dogs. The best thing you can do is to run them along side a bike or have them pull you along on rollerblades. Tire them out is key. I’m with you on not being able to do a lot of the things because of dogs. My day starts by trying to tire out my dogs with a good long walk or run, then I get on my cycle. They’ve become my favorite hobby, they get me out in nature. I also shoot guns, ride an electric unicycle, play guitar, and run a tattoo business. My life is full but the dogs always come first. I highly recommend you try an electric unicycle. On road off road just loads of fun and some exercise and your dog can run along. I attach a retractable leash to a sling strap so they can move around a little more. It takes some training but so far they have learned pretty quickly and get really excited when I pull out my bike. Good luck on finding all the fun things in life, much love bro.

It's a pain, it cost time and money, it's such a big responsibility. And most people won't put up with it. I ride to work 5 days a week, but nothing gives me more joy then touring on my bike. I know it's harder to look after a dog, then a cat or cats. But if your family who lives in the same town as you won't help, maybe you could hire a dog walking service to come to your home everyday to feed him, and take him for a walk for a few weeks. Or maybe your mother down in Florida could watch him for a few weeks while you go across country. Peace Cruza.

You have to check out the Go Fast Campers. Pop-up wedge tent over a very sturdy bare bones aluminum canopy. Put it on a good used mid sized pickup. Carry a dual sport on back in a hitch receiver rack. That is the ideal setup. You can go anywhere and they get good mpg because the camper folds down and only weights 275 pounds. When you are not traveling they are just like a normal pickup. You can camp out in desert canyons and your dog will go crazy when the coyotes howl at night!

get a truck camper. just big enough to get some sleep, cook, and to rest with your dog. set up a routine, schedule with your dog, lots of exercise in the morning so it will relax for a couple of hours while you're driving. then take a driving break and stop at a park and run the dog again. let it nap while you take a cycle cruze for a bit. That could keep you driving and seeing the world. don't let the dog control all of your time work within its needs. Take yourself all the way down the Pan American Highway until you're all the way down South America. It will take a little planning to make sure you have all the documents to enter all the countries with your dog. I follow a KZbin couple that has done that trip with their cats and they have seen some wonderful places.

At almost 45 I have spent my whole life hunting mainly whitetail deer. I still absolutely love hunting but found myself bored in the offseason of hunting so that’s how I got in to motorcycles in 2018. I love motorcycles but hunting is still my #1. There is nothing like being in the wild and bringing home nutritious wild game meat. Maybe consider hunting. While it’s too cold to ride you could be in the woods hunting. Just a thought

A friend passed away recently but before she did, she asked me to take care of her cat and her dog. Pets become your kids but you can always bring them along for some fun or even out of the country if you have him microchipped and he has his papers. Lots of good ideas here but you may want to consider an off-road motorcycle tour in the coffee region of Columbia or Costa Rica. They have dozens of tours and you can be back in no time or rent a boat for the day and bring the kid 🐶

I've struggled with faith all my life. I've started going back to church. This time feels much, much more different. I'm going on my own volition, which definitely gives the experience and decision more meaning. The deacons didn't take very long to zero in on me despite the congregation being massive. I was open and honest about my struggles. They never gave any indication I'm hopeless or whatever. I suppose I stand out because I show up alone. Everybody else has their spouse and children with. Follow your gut feeling.

@@CycleCruza I'm definitely more on the spiritual side and listen to Alan Watts' lectures. Just like Alan's lectures, the sermons for the last few weeks have felt as if they were curtailed to me, directly. It was the most odd thing ever. I didn't feel out of place for a change. The one I have been going to has a different feel than all the others. I'm still guarded just because of my past experiences. The churches in TX are way too exclusive and won't bother with welcoming newcomers if they don't know anybody. Go to the "wrong" Christian church and you'll find yourself on the bad side of the social order within the area you live. Something like that will affect your ability to find gainful employment. The people at this one are actually warm and are genuinely interested in having a solid conversation. Plus there are a ton of bikers who go, and it helps knowing others who might be willing to lend a hand on more complicated maintenance tasks. The H-D riders at this one aren't a-holes. There are also a ton of ADV riders and a few sport bikers. They all seem like a solid group of people.
@XxGyromancerXx8 ай бұрын
@@mrspringfieldI always thought that as well but wanted to actually go out of my comfort zone and get involved within a group. I don't fare well in large social gatherings. It's why I stay away from motorcycle gatherings and other large ones unless it's a concert. However, developing some type of network outside of lame social media platforms like FB, Instagram, Snapchat, etc is far better and more genuine. A personal connection is more meaningful, IMO.
@mrspringfield8 ай бұрын
Churches are social clubs and nothing more. Good on ya if that fills a need but it is spiritually unwise (dangerous, really) to hand your relationship with your Maker over to one of organizations. They will chew you up and spit you out without a second thought if it serves their purposes. A man must have a direct relationship with God or chaos will ensue eventually. My 2 cents. Peace.

That would be my one wish if i could get one because i wont ever be able to get mine as i have chronic epilepsy that has to be treated with medication forever and that disqualifies you from being able to get it regardless how effective treatment is at preventing the condition. It would be a dream, because I could imagine it being just like motorcycles in terms of freedom being able to fly up above the sky feeling like you’re in a dreamworld almost that would be amazing. I would really think about it if I was you. I also saw someone mentioned skydiving, i would look into that too. Truck camper all the way or convert a small 6x12 or 6x10 cargo trailer into a camper. Pull out the mods from the van and sell it asap. Can reuse those parts in either a truck camper of cargo trailer conversion. Tacoma's are cool, 4x4 is awesome. I like watching you buy and sell different properties. Im with you, my father died in his early 50s, brother in his early 40s. Life is short, enjoy it while you can, its not worth working your life away for a par check until your an old person. Oh, truck campers are heavy and not cheap, I suggest a used LIGHT ONE unless you want a 3/4 - 1 ton rig. Also a trail 125 would be a fun bike to watch you play with and mod out.

They want more for the older Tacomas than the Tundras. lol To me the Tundra is more versatile because it can haul more weight and carry a larger payload. If I geta truck camper it would be one with the collapsable low profile roof that expands and it would be lightweight and minimal. I'm doing research now. I'd take a lightweight 250 pr maybe an electric bike I can charge via solar. Maybe fix up my Sur Ron x which is super lightweight.

Buy 40 plus acres of raw forest land in Ohio and build a castle with your own 2 hands. That will keep you occupied for decades! Your dog will love it too. Maybe eventually raise a family there if that's in your cards. Don't say you already did that in Georgia because you didn't. You bought an old Boomer's mansion in a foreign alien environment that wasn't your own labor or work. Don't say you don't have the skills because you can learn them as you go along. Do everything yourself and relive the original American dream of homesteading your own land, kingdom, etc. You're still a young guy and can still do it. I know because i bought 30 acres of woods at age 28 and didn't look back. I'm 71 now and love this place more than ever. The right land does that to you. You actually do grow roots. Otherwise, just buy a Harley-Davidson to fill the empty place in your soul. 😂

Why not get a large plot of land out west in a rural area so its not too pricey? You could build dirtbike trails, have plenty of room for the dog, and plenty of twisty roads. I would recommend going for a van or a rig that could tow a small trailer. Having a bike on a carrier can be inconvenient because you always have to worry about theft on multi-day trips. I'm surprised you haven't gotten a two stroke dirtbike like my KTM 250 XC-W and enjoy some single track. Maybe even enter a hare scramble. I personally prefer something like a KTM 500 over an adventure bike. Adventure bikes are nice but here out west you also end up someplace you wish you had a real dirtbike.

Get a small second home in Idaho. You can then try your side by side or 4 wheeler. Plenty of trails there. You can have access to the nearby states. Motor bikes will always be in your life even if it's a trike in your old age. Buy a super c used able to trailer 30 thousand pounds so you can bring what you want, and your dog can be there too.

Looking at the cost of trucks and doing a conversion on a van I would get a used c class rv, Then you don't have to do all the work of adding the water tanks and bathroom. They are already done and they have a little more room inside. Thats if you want to travel. I've always been into hot rod cars and drag racing my whole life. I'd like to travel places too, but for me, doing it by yourself seems kind of pointless. Most things just aren't that satisfying to do by yourself.
@CycleCruza8 ай бұрын
A couple problems with most Class C RVs is they are built terrible and you limited to where you can go. A 4x4 truck + camper allows you to go off the beaten path and slides in most place easily. Yes you lack space though but I will never be a fulltimer anyways, its nice to have a home base to go back to.
