It’s time to feed up my bees ready for winter! 🥷🌿🐝
With my rapid bee feeder! No jokes. It exists! A simple mix of water and sugar dissolved. Given how new my bees are I need to make sure their stores are full ready for winterisation in the coming weeks. So a helping hand is needed!
Also got some bad news…I finally got stung. After months of thinking I’d become the hive mind one of my daughters got me on the wrist. My fault entirely waving about without realising. 🐝😢 She will be missed!

Simple syrup. Not just for cocktails!

I used this out of the bag feeder and about forty bees managed to drown in the syrup, up through the centre over the top into syrup and under the inner clear cap, I thought the gap to allow syrup under inner cap was too small for bees but apparently not now I’m looking for a way to stop this drunken drowning, I’ve been told a sock with toe area cut out

Yup! Super easy. 1:1 ratio of water to granulated sugar. The cheap white stuff. Heat up until dissolved. Let it cool. Then add to feeder! Simples! 🥷🌿🐝😉

@@michellejemison1721 25 pounds of sugar dumped into a 5 gallon bucket and filled about 5 inches from the top with hot water from the sink. Don’t want to accidentally boil it or you’ll kill your bees.

No they come in from the upside down cone then drink from above. Google rapid bee feeder if you want to see more of how they work! They go under the hive roof! 🥷🌿👌
