gspice71 that is great for you! Love that! But playing devil’s advocate, many newly engaged couples are young and don’t live together just yet, so registries are needed to help them out just a little 🙂 especially with the costs of weddings and such, to each their own I suppose!

I totally understand the feeling of not wanting to « tell people what to buy you» but at the same time I try to remember that just like your mom and the guy at B&B said, people love to buy gifts (it’s probably one of my favourite things to do haha) and they will buy you something for your wedding so it might as well be something you’ll actually use and enjoy! 😌 Enjoy being spoiled a little, you deserve it 😘

My mom got a Ninja Foodi for Christmas and she’s absolutely obsessed w/ it bc it does EVERYTHING! She said she can make a full dinner w/ veggies, protein and rice in like 20 mins

Hi Ashley! In Italy we usually do a registry or a honey moon fund, but I think that a registry would be useful anyway because you can avoid unwanted and useless gifts from maybe some distant relative that want to buy you something but doesn't know you well..or you can avoid doupes! who needs two air fryers?

Hej Ashley ! I had hard time too to say gests do not to by a weeding presents but ! I realize that's nowadays people have almost everything, so we don't enything materials. Sooo if you have about 100 gests on weeding you probably will get 50 present that you Don't need !!! And you need to store them haven't enough place so probably you will need to give somebody else or put too trusch .and that station is very a comfortable and worst to please people to buy something what you really need or please for money inted of buying a present. We did that and I was soo happy after weeding because we have some money back of weeding and bay what we really need.

I really like registrys where there’s a variety to choose like Zola. Experiences are fun and charities you support. It is weird registering for gifts because you feel guilty for asking for things, but you're right people want to buy you something so don't feel bad. Also when you use the gifts in the future it will remind you of that person that got it for you and makes it more special.

Don't worry about people buying you gifts. I worried too because we'd lived together long enough to accrue a lot already so I felt we shouldn't be asking for anything. We also made more money than a lot of our family members and that made me feel we shouldn't ask too, but they wanted us to have something from them. They were proud to be able to pick out something we didn't have and get it for us. To this day, when I use my old glass measuring cup I remember my aunt. When I use my old cookie cutters/press I think of my mum. People will buy what they can afford or they'll combine resources with others to get something. Let them have this moment of contributing to your life together. People are proud to do it and we need to be humble enough to allow them. I love my Ninja Foodie! It does EVERYTHING, but it's just 1 pot on the counter. I hope you get one. 👍 Mine Crisps, air fries, slow cooks, and pressure cooks. They're great for small spaces.
