I don't remember the exact reason why but I remember Hakita mentioning he didn't want to overshadow blood healing by straight away teaching you that you can heal(and the terminal doesn't say it but after an update around a year ago, parrying also replenishes stamina for dashes) with parries so that blood is still used to heal as intended instead of people repeatedly dying by missing the parry timing, kinda good thing you learned that before minos, up to this point there's no fight that wants you to parry more than minos

That’s really smart the game doesn’t tell you that until P-1. Learning that completely changed up how I play the game

@@Flembons honestly 90% doesn’t tell you, the game is very fuck around and find out, wants to make you ask how weapons can be used together, whenever someone asks “wouldn’t it be cool if?” The answer is always yes. This also sadly contributes to the community, it’s a damn struggle to have a completely clean first playthrough without chat trying to tell you like every single little mechanic

Just realized too that V1’s hand covers up the health bar when you parry so you’d never notice the heal unless you were hyper focused on your health

@@Flembons there’s an option in the settings to always keep the UI on top, might be worth going through some options for some preference settings
