An unnatural hiss akin to that of a thousand screams erupted while his finger scraped the sword. “I will end you.” The king spoke. The figure halted his movement. Like always, You manage to boost my creativity with these playlists. A unknown kid, in a unknown poor town, Ruled and tortured by evil humans. Stealing their resources and abusing the people. That kid, his name was Adam. Adam found a strange symbolic rock hidden underground. Adam then took it home and hid it under his bed. Adam was thinking and talking to himself. ''With this strange object i can finally get some money to feed my parents'' Next day came, the evil people arrived to steal resource. Adam's parents haven't harvested nearly enough. The bandits got angry and slapped Adam's mother, Adam rushed in and threw a rock and hit the face of the bandit. The mother rushed in to apologise, the bandits rage was out of control and thrusted a sword in the mothers chest. Killing her. The father rushed in to avenge his wife but died aswell. Adam was the only one left. The bandit then threw Adam across the room, moving the bed aside. Adam's head was bleeding and the blood dripped on the artifct. Adam then heard a voice in his head, ''Do you want power'' Adam scared he asked ''who are you!'' the artifact said ''I am a demon, sealed in this artifact for thousands of years. Your blood has awakened me.'' the artifact spoke again ''Now tell me, do you want power!'' Adam only wanted revenge for his parents death. ''If i can take revenge! then give me all that power!'' The artifact laughed ''HAHAHA! GOOD!'' Adam began to be surrounded by black flames, with read glowing eyes, dark skin and sharp claws. He then began to massacre the bandits one by one untill all were dead and the room painted with blood. Adam couldn't stop himself, he killed everyone in his way and sliced them like butter. civilian or bandit, to him they were all nothing but food for his anger. He rushed with ground breaking speed to the bandits hideout. Adam shattered the gates like pebbles, killed everyone in there, bandits, civilians, slaves. Everyone. When adam finally killed all the bandits that controlled his land, he woke up. ''where am i? w-why am i drenched in blood?...'' Adam then looked behind, and he only seen blood, like a paiting splattered on the houses and ground. There was a path made of blood. Adam screamed ''Who done this!! everyone is dead! the slaves the civilants everyone!'' then a voice in his head started laughing ''HAHAHAH'' Adam scared shouted ''who are you!? why are you in my head!'' the voice speaked ''I am the devil that gave you the power! the power to take revenge!'' Adam then realises ''A-Am i the one who killed these innocent people!?'' The devil speaked ''Yes! they all screamed for mercy! yet you killed them without a thought! HAHAHAH!'' Adam got angry and shouted ''I don't want this power! i killed all the bandits now leave me alone!'' the devil answered ''All of them? haha, you fool, these bandits were only the handy men of the REAL bandits! when news gets out not just this village but every village in this country will be suffering because of you! HAHAH!'' the devil speaked again ''You have no options, your soul is TRAPPED and I control you now! Your soul will only be released when all bandits will be killed, That was the cotract when i gave you the power! THIS is the PRICE you have to pay for the power HAHAHAH'' And so, a week gone by and every single bandit were slain... But all the slaves and civilians in that country were massacred aswell. The demon completed the contract. ''because you freed me, and showed me such a marvelous display of blood. I will spare you'' The demon left Adam's soul and vanished. Now, adam full of hate towards himself because of all the thousands of innocent lives he took. He then decided to kill himself... Yet he failed... Before the demon left, he branded a curse on Adam's soul... The curse to never DIE. For the pursue of revenge, Adam killed thousands of innocent lifes. And was cursed to wonder the world for eternity. That was the price he paid for overwhelming power!

* Atheridge multiverse intensifies * The number of characters that gained immense power but then lost everything. For some, it was a matter of months; for others, hundreds of years. And they all lost something they had before, freedom. 1. “The Alchemist.” I never gave him a name other than the alias. He turned a human into a monster and was arrested while transporting it. Ended up with a large number of charges; 2x practicing alchemy on a human, 2x kidnapping, 2x aggravated assault, 2x grievous bodily harm, 1x manslaughter, 1x attempted murder* *This occurred later when he tried to kill his creation… inside a prison visitation room. 2. “The mage of Epilux” I still haven’t finished the story he shows up in, despite it being in the works for a year now and being the first story in the Atheridge multiverse. It’s also ~54 pages and not very far into the plot; I originally expected the story to be 20 pages. It’s gone from short story to novel. Tried to play god and create life. He successfully created armies to kill everyone in his dimension who wasn’t one of his citizens. But even after 500 years, he hadn’t managed to do that, then Atheridge got involved. Eventually, the armies of Epilux broke free and turned against the king and mage. Got life in prison on numerous charges, including several counts of attempted genocide. 3. “The king of Epilux.” Worked alongside the mage and fell from power alongside him. 4. Dlawogar (Also from a story I haven’t yet completed) Took playing god to a new level and has an entire religion based around himself. He is working on weapons of mass destruction to eradicate those he sees as pure evil. Atheridge is on the top of his list, surprise, surprise. The place that has taken down hundreds of villains is the top target of someone deceived by power and evil. 5. “The Prophet of Etros.” Is part of the religion that worships Dlawogar and is the one to carry out the genocide plans. Despite this, he doesn’t want to do it but has to. He would much rather focus on improving quality of life and coexisting with others. Also isn’t sure if what is said about Atheridge is true. He’s secretly hoping that the project is stopped. And so when someone whose skills were too good to be true showed up, he thought they could be an enemy spy and immediately brought them to the top of the project. He’ll get off easier when Atheridge inevitably moves in. 6+ countless others who have gained power used it to help themselves at the cost of those around them and paid for it. Country leaders, corporate executives, [insert powerful position that can be corrupted here].

The gate exploded in a storm of burnt wood and molten iron... and it is there that in the darkness two red eyes like the flames of hell opened and looked straight at the great king a hoarse and gloomy voice echoes through the destroyed halls of the castle " *The time has come old man* " with horror the king saw a huge figure pass through the gate, the mammoth figure was made of a putrid mass of rags and blackish slime that oozed everywhere... a face with a huge mouth with sharp teeth and a infinity of eyes and horns rise from that mass and stared at the king... " *Many years have passed old man... it's time to pay the price of our pact* " the king rise from his throne and looked around, saw the destruction, the despair... all this for a pact... a pact that cursed him "i think so too" he said "i'm tired of running...i'm tired of hiding...hiding from you... i too believe that it's the time to pay the price of all this" " *Very Well* " said the smug beast the smelly slime surrounded the king and they trapped him while the beast opened his mouth inhumanely showing thousand of teeth... the king closed his eyes knowing what his fate was meanwhile the villages, the great city and the castle were devoured by the shadows and sank into the sea where he will never see the light of day again Legends still tell of an ancient city of an ancient era fallen into ruin due to a pact between a greedy king and an ancient being who still lives in that city in the depths of the sea waiting... waiting for his moment... A New Pact

i recommend reaper of the drifting moon reading the novel now to catch up to the point i left off in the manhwa which skipped a few chapters at chapter 27 so i wanted to read those chapters in the novel but also read the novel from the beginning. the novel is 251 chapters, manhwa just finished its 1st season around a week ago. hopefully u havent read either and will have a blast. also ill give some manhwa recommendations if any1 wants. :)👍

The father knowing what this meant closed his eyes for a second and looked to his son in the eyes. "I forgot to give you the most important lesson of a treasure Hunter... You must be willing to meet... *Death...* And answering to Your question... This... Are the consequences of acting deaf..." *Said before closing his eyes waiting for the Slash* But after a few seconds he didnt felt anything... In confussion, opened his eyes. Then watched in fear what just happened. His kid, all what remained of him was a head covered in dust while the hooded entity standed on a side of It. "W-wait! This is not right! I used the scroll of judgement so I would take the responsability of my kid's actions!"- said the King on anger. Right afterwards death turned around, as the light of the ruins made his skullface clear to be seen. "We both know what this means... The queen of witches clearly gave you a fake scroll. You're a brave King, yet naive... But don't worry. Being as naive as you're. As childlish. You'll be meeting Your son very soon." The King thought on It and returned to his Castle. With the remains of his son on a box, ready to bury. Few days later, prepared his troops. It was not only his fault, but also the Queen of Witches Who made his kid die on such a horrific way. *10 Years later the King was sitting on his throne, all what was left was him. The Witches kingdom was burned to ashes, but just as his own. On some point of the war, he opened up to two Pandora boxes. Boxes that were so cursed that they were deleted from records of knowledge. And finally, the one he was waiting for arrived. "Hey. You think you can just walk away by with those Pandora box open? Do you think It's a gift? A power with no consequences? *Points at him sitting on his lonely throne* Everything in Life have consequences, you know It Well, Jhon."- said death despiseing the king "I know. That's why I'm willing to pay the price"- said the King moving his sight to a side. "We both know you're just willing to die. But you should know, even death have more ways of judgement than killing. It's not just about killing. I can make myself not meet you ever. You'll be alive forever. Cursed to live for a eternity for your actions." - said death. The King in anger pointed his sword at death itself, defying the entity. "What?! That's not on the Code of beings like you! I know I made mistake, but no living being is deserving of such a safe! I demand changes!" - screamed in anger *Death moved away the kings Blade and a red light glowed on his eyes* "You got no place to argue here. Your Destiny is written. If you don't want me to worsen Your fate, don't play with me, mortal... I follow no Codes. I am death." - whispered him on a loud and menacing tone The King dropped his sword holding his face and closing his fist in impotence. Even if he wanted to, he got no choice against beings like death. All he could do was accept his fate, as he knows death Judgement can be even worse than imaginable. "I'm very sorry son... I told you we would meet again but... I Guess fat- no... My own actions Will hold into me forever. I Hope someday you can forgive me." - said the King as he cried on the throne of a dead kingdom. Alone.

when it is earned the price is the hard work and time put to gaining it. 1 of the most valuable currencies in the world is time. were always spending it can nvr get it back and its value differs by opinion. as u live ur last day in this world and look back on ur life u will find there were at least a few moments u disapprove of the time u had spent on them, whether u would wish u could change things a little or spend that time in a completely different way would depend on ur opinion.
