Net Nuetrality ceased because for us who already paid for internet, almost had to pay for domains for the rest of our life, making surfing the internet, another rich luxury. It died because us iron spoons got together and spam called, text, and emailed our state representatives until the boomers were like "those kiddos dont like this, better vote with them because they are our next votig class! I'm hippity hip my dudes no cap!" With that he went away defeated because we actually acted as much as we could. Ajit did this in 2015, and did it once more in 2017. Everyone forgot about it, but I did not. Obama was for the people because he at least educated himslf on the matter, Trump doesnt even know what a wall is, let alone a domain. Ajit knows that Trump can be schemed again as long as Ajit throws a security qoute. He will do it again. Chips are all in on soon, but I cant provide a timeframe. I just know him, and he will. We can only hope the death threats to his family were enough. Yes, I stand by that because this is a dog eats dog world. I'm out for myself, because like anyone else these people are out to take whatever little spec of freedom you have.

Basically, the repeal of net neutrality has allowed ISPs to charge as much as they want for certain services. In a business environment, however, it only makes sense to charge more if your service is actually better than the competition, or your customers will simply switch to them. Since the repeal not much has changed in the way of new infrastructure. You can expect price hikes when there is a change in infrastructure, which allows one provider to provider better services than the others. Furthermore, should all prevalent ISPs collectively decide on usage-based pricing, then that would also result in price hikes, as startups without infrastructure cannot provide a cheaper alternative. But that requires cartel-like behavior by the big ISPs and that at least hasn't happened yet.

JohnKhan Wayne part of the problem is that they lobbied to privatize the fiber infrastructure that the federal and state government actually paid for. Remember the “information superhighway” and “al gore created the internet” stuff of the 90’s? Yeah, the ISPs use it and barely invest in it. Notice how during quarantine we didn’t run out of bandwidth or anything? Because they can just flip on more fiber when needed. We’re not overwhelming the infrastructure yet... only players like google are keeping Comcast and their cronies under control because they’ll threaten to fuck their shit up. They’re charging way more than the rest of the world and getting away with it right now.
