Ann Miller always received rave reviews. There was a brilliant tap number created just for her!!!

Even though this is not a recording of the Broadway company, it is so wonderful to have this bit of Ann Miller's performance as MAME. As you can tell from the recording, Ann Miller is terrific. What a voice. And we're not even getting to see her dance! Everyone I've talked with who saw Ann Miller as MAME said that she was nothing short of magnificent in the role.

I saw her do Mame on Broadway, after having seen Angela Lansbury in the role, and was surprised how good Ann Miller was after that tough act to follow. This confirms how strong her singing was in this role. Thanks for uploading this.

I was astonished when I later saw and first heard Ann's powerful beautiful voice singing "Don't blame me" and others from the Broadway show "sugar babies" ! Such amazing breath control, clear and powerfully performed like Judy Garland, Eydie gorme, etc. She reminded me a lot like Ethel merman in her later years but only better! Such a tragedy this excellent and gifted singer did not record albums. 🤔😱🤗❤️
