Did you put the bell sound on the bow of your ride? That will mess you up if you ever play an acoustic set.

New Video Hi-Hat Setting Video for the Alesis Strike Pro........ kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZmPdnaiifL18jJo I am using 1.2 Hi-Hats coming through the Aux. This is what is sounds like played to #ToolVicarious and two other tunes. What I have found is not only does the Alesis logo must sit at a 12 O'clock position pointed away from you, "THE BOTTOM PLATE" the hole your wires are coming through must sit between the 2 and 3 O'clock position faced up. You can also turn clockwise or counterclockwise until the triggers are reading itself with accuracy along that position. If you have or order a second module, you must do a factory reset to erase 1.3 components stored on the top Hi-Hat.

I have one its awesome. Just needs dialing in which I hope Richard can help us (me) with :)

Hey Rich, any chance of letting me know your settings as you have them today. I'd love to get this thing dialed in but I just don't have the experience you do.

Lee Shand Hey Lee - All my settings are completely stock. I’m running version 1.3, but I haven’t changed anything as I wanted to see how it would work as is with the new cymbals.
@LeeShand6 жыл бұрын
Gotcha. I am just having issues with the high hat. I think its definitely the settings, I am having the same issue as you in terms of the firing not being consistent. I might also have the HH setup wrong, but I think its more a sensitivity issue. I also find it rotates as well, do you get that? If you do find a better setting for the HH I would love for you to share! I also need to set my toms up like your, they are a bit far away from me at the moment! Do you have an overhead shot of your setup?

Lee Shand I think the hi hats are fundamentally flawed and they will never work 100% properly. Mine are at about 85-90% now after replacement - but they still miss hits and just don’t work great. Mine do spin as well, and they’re just kinda hit or miss. I think the only solution is buying the Roland vh11 hats unfortunately if you need better accuracy :(
@LeeShand6 жыл бұрын
Understood. It is annoying. Im gonna persevere for a bit to see what happens. The Roland HH may be the answer though. I appreciate the time you took to reply.

I actually solved all my issues. I’m happy with the kit now

Keith Jenkins looks like you're still in the group. You wouldn't be kicked for showing problems. Many people share issues they're having. That's what the groups for. You were probably just hating on the kit (like in your past KZbin videos) not looking for solutions which is not what group is for. Seems you're finally happy though. Figures now that you have a whole extra kit and module all working fine, for free lol I'd be happy too.

awesome man. Are you aware of the hi hat fix on the hi hats with triggering issues?
@RichardNashIV6 жыл бұрын
PurplEDC Reviews the felt fix? I tried it and it seemed to make it worse for me. Not sure why, but my new hats seem to work better without it!
@purpledc16 жыл бұрын
crazy. seems yours are a lot better than before. I'm still not happy with the cymbals even if mine are working good. they just seem unresponsive.
@RichardNashIV6 жыл бұрын
If you're still under warranty I would highly suggest contacting Alesis and getting them replaced. The rep who helped me told me that the cymbals aren't supposed to have hot spots or anything else, even though a lot of people online are saying it's "normal" to have the hot spots. I think eventually I'll get the Roland Hats, but these ones do work a lot better now after being replaced.
@purpledc16 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I was one of those assholes. But your situation was much more severe and I had no idea it was as bad as it was. My issue isn't like yours. My problem is the edges on my cymbals have a very odd triggering issue where it seems I'm hitting the it 7 or 8 times in quick succession. I have one replacement on the way and if that fixes it on that cymbal I'm going to request they replace them.
@RichardNashIV6 жыл бұрын
Yeah that's a strange issue. Hopefully the replacement fixes it. I'm worried about longevity, because my warranty is up in May. The cymbals don't seem like they can take much abuse, so if one breaks after warranty I wonder how Alesis will handle it.
