You're an icon phil and you owe nothing to us so enjoy your retirement my friend. It's not easy for phil to play now and not dominate he's a champion and that's what we need to remember so being anything less is not going to work. Thanks for all the memories.Cheers

funny how he mentioned Steven Hendry, I got into darts when Phil was at his best. when MVG came through and Phil "retired" I felt the same. who is going to give me inspiration to play better. I'm going to have to watch some old clips to get inspired again. he made it look so easy. since then my dart game is terrible, some days I cant even go round the world. I'm in my mid 30's lmao

Would taylor win 16 world titles these days? A few top players match taylor averages BUT what set him apart from the rest was when he was under pressure.he was unmatched.i still think he would dominate today because of that. Only time i ever seen taylor rattled was when he was playing the crafty cockney bristow.bristow knew taylor was better but he used the crowd so well taylor almost lost,he almost looked like a broken man. But the genius of taylor was he made sure nobody could ever do it do him again. He probably has bristow to thank for some of that.taylor had the most bottle and nerve.lets focus on how great he actually was.hard to see another like him.complete package.enjoy your well earned retirement champ.
