Phil came to a little social club in Govan Glasgow for a charity match and donated over £39 grand to a great cause : he does great charity work but never mentions it He's a true British legend 🙌 love you Phil xx

@@peterruff5810also the standard is higher now…Phil put in the hours during the 90’s and it stood to him later in his career when a lot of the others didn’t….now they all put the hours in so it’s impossible for one player to dominate

funny how he mentioned Steven Hendry, I got into darts when Phil was at his best. when MVG came through and Phil "retired" I felt the same. who is going to give me inspiration to play better. I'm going to have to watch some old clips to get inspired again. he made it look so easy. since then my dart game is terrible, some days I cant even go round the world. I'm in my mid 30's lmao

Would taylor win 16 world titles these days? A few top players match taylor averages BUT what set him apart from the rest was when he was under pressure.he was unmatched.i still think he would dominate today because of that. Only time i ever seen taylor rattled was when he was playing the crafty cockney bristow.bristow knew taylor was better but he used the crowd so well taylor almost lost,he almost looked like a broken man. But the genius of taylor was he made sure nobody could ever do it do him again. He probably has bristow to thank for some of that.taylor had the most bottle and nerve.lets focus on how great he actually was.hard to see another like him.complete package.enjoy your well earned retirement champ.

Maybe because I loved Eric so much (in darts) I did not like Phil, years go by and he has to be seen as a magician. MVG looked like he could take the mantle....will fall well short, have a good retirement Phil.
