For MVC2 using a lag sleuth PS4 - 3.46 frames (Same as dreamcast) Nintendo Switch - 4.12 frames The switch version at lunch did have noticeably latency issues. It's been patched, but the ps4 version is superior.

Got the Switch version too and am happy with my copy as well. Like you I didn't experience any lag with any of the games but I'm not a hardcore experienced fighting gamer so maybe I didn't know what to look for but overall the control button commands worked fine. I'd definitely would love it if Capcom released a physical version of the Capcom Arcade Stadium collections 1&2 that would really be incredible.

bro yesss the SMELL of the comic book is so nice. I am huge weirdo that loves the smell of books and those CRISPY new pages. I keep the comic closed to keep the smell intact as much as possible XD also I wanted to chime in with my experiences - It's pretty much perfect for OFFLINE play. The online aspect irks me slightly because of light reduction thing that is on and can not remove it. I UNDERSTAND why it is done but would be nice to have it as a choice. but that is something that is more of me issue probably. No input lag at all for me.

Even before Disney bought 20th Century Fox, and by extension regained the movie rights for X-Men, etc.... that had no barring on their ability to license out characters for games. They always had the right to do that. It was only the movie rights they had access to. That being said, there was a time period where they were *choosing* to not license out certain characters for games and other products (which is why there are no X-Men in MvC Infinite) because they didn't want to promote characters that other studios had the movie rights for. But there was nothing from an official/legal standpoint that was stopping them from doing so.

I have the Naomi version of MVC2 running on my candy with Toshiba PF monitor and running both arcade and switch versions next to each other there is no discernible difference from the feel of it. The switch feels just as buttery smooth as my candy.

You do know that the sega Genesis version was the port of the arcade version right 😂! Due to system limitations, it wasn't going to be a "spot on" port, so of course, the arcade version would be superior 😀

You can do hyper combos with quarter circle forward 2 punch or 2 kick button that's how you do manual manual combos

My Switch is pretty much just a retro fighter setup. Got this, the first one, all the street fighter games, Neo geo. Only a couple others that aren’t retro or fighter, but I play them on my Switch lite.

The ps4 version as well the switch are the same,except if they didn't optimized it right for a system.The genesis punisher could not be worked on a 16bit system back then like many other arcades because in general the arcade was superior to our systems those days! From psone & up we could experience perfect arcade ports from classic beat em ups such this or captain comando.I had captain comando in playstation in japanese copy and was perfect with arranged ost as well! Now if we talk about the online mode however i don't know how this might work on switch because their servers are not so good in general as i know because i also have a switch! Check if you like the other versions if you have available or in some friend to see,with the ps4 version i didn't had any issues on my ps5!

Servers are irrelevant, the game is peer to peer. Connection is only as good as what you and your opponent connect with.

I got both of my copies this past Saturday. Gamestop was weird for having me pay a penny, after I paid what I thought was the whole pre-order fee before picking them up. The Switch and PS4 copies I have are gonna stay sealed. I think I'll get another Switch physical copy to use. I've been having a blast playing the digital PS4 version (mostly MvC2). You have the usual cheap bastuds online and occasional rage quitters that won't let me process my earned points from a win. I don't let that stop me from playing tho. The best times I have are fighting others with the play style in mind, of actually fighting more than spamming assists and projectiles.

The PS4 has the Comic also, and I would always take a Blu-ray version over a limited-size-cartridge version like the Switch, but hey that's me I don't think there will be any major differences between both for this particular game, but let's wait and see what people can find down the road, the game is still fresh

You don’t need a Blu-Ray disc for this, as the collection itself is pretty small in size. Nothing that at the minimum a 4 or 8GB Switch cartridge can’t put on it. Like it matters all that much anyway since patches still have to get put on internal storage regardless of platform.
