I grew up at the bottom of the foothills, about 30 minutes from Ashville NC. In a small town called Ellenboro NC. Beautiful countryside. There was a song and the words were, I like calling north carolina home. We're used to hear stories about Bigfoot sitings all the time, I'll bet there's a lot of Bigfoot stories that haven't been told.

Hi Chris, Another Great Story. I really hope you carry some kind of protection with you, for Bears, bad Humans, or whatever else could be out there. I bet that scared those guys to death! Especially having the Tent ripped off the ground like that. I think they were really lucky that the Bigfoots let them stay the night. Be careful out there Chris, you were a long way from your Truck. Can’t wait for the next one. 👍👍😁😁😁

🇬🇧 Greetings from Northern Britain Love your vids, Chris, I've only been subbed a few months but have binge watched nearly all your shows. I took notice when you spoke of the acreage in some of your magnificent National Parks & it's not in the 100s of acres, nor even a thousand acres but hundreds of thousands of acres EVEN a few MILLION acres...😯 That's vertically half of all the UK! Its sobering to just think about the enormous expanse of wild, natural Land that is America! It's so HUGE it's hard to get ones head around this much land. AND it's spectacular too. I thought the Scottish Highlands were remote & isolated & with it's amazing natural beauty & vast area of Primeval Forests etc it's a mere speck against the gigantic American Wilderness of just ONE of your National Parks... Staggering It's not surprising that there are other species there, probably long before modern humans settled in it's vast territories. I've seen some very strange things up in the Scottish Highlands that are Unexplainable, so the mind boggles to think of what your National Parks contain! Also there has to be areas never before explored! who knows what is actually out there. Its sad to think that Humans are rather arrogant in thinking they are the elite of species, living in cities with frequent jaunts camping & hiking in these enormous Parks & think they are in control & have the God given right to do whatever they want, take whatever they want & kill whatever they want. Other species have more rights to thrive in these lands which are truely Marvellous & need so much appreciation. I dont live in your beautiful country but i do appreciate its existance. Thank You BC Chris, your vids are addictive! it feels like im sitting right in front of you when you pour your Beer, put your story teller hat on & launch into the next thrilling tale. I think its why you appeal to your audience so much, you make it real Best Wishes, Peace & Cheers 🇬🇧🙋

Those National Parks in America sound awesome. Talk about a beautiful country , in the UK we tend to think of America by the massive cities but in reality they only cover a tiny portion of the land there . Hi Samara, thanks for your reply I've researched my surname & it depends on meaning. In some areas Ross means Red, even in Italy + other counties Ross is Red. Horn comes from people who live on a spur of land, Horn shaped or those who worked in Horn, tools etc. But in Scandinavian lore, The name Horn described a clan or tribe of warriors with the fighting strength of Bulls & therefore Horn was their name I affectionately put the old meanings together & think of my surname of Tribe of The Red Horns... Which actually reminds me of a Native American kind of Tribal Name! Well, peace, health & good Cheer to you & yours x 🇬🇧🙋@@samaraosborne1585

Hey Chris, just wanted to take this moment to say my dad and I both love your channel. He claims he's seen MANY things in the woods over the years with his time spent in the wilderness but he's never seen a bigfoot. However, he does keep a surprisingly open mind. Despite being an old timer who's in his 80s, my dad's suffered a series of unfortunate health complications recently. It's been rough on the family. One of the things we like to joke back and forth about whenever we watch one of your videos together is the scenario we concoct in our heads, that whenever Saskwatch hollers in any one of these stories is him shouting, "say you, why don't you gimme one of them beers, before I get angry!" 😉

I'm 68 years old and familiar with some your hiking places. It has been some time since I have hiked into the high Sierras, Buck's Lake area, Desolation Wilderness, Sequoia Naton Park and Kings Canyon in particular. I have never seen a sasquatch, count me lucky, I guess, but I have encountered a pretty large bear in the Santa Cruz Mountains that stood up and peeked at my group of siblings from behind a blackberry patch. More recently a pair, mother and cub, ambled across the Feather River highway forcing me to slow to a crawl, and in the mountainous part of the southern Mojave Desert where I narrowly escaped a high-speed collision with a large sow and an adolescent cub. Your videos encourage me to hike in again, but not solo, or unarmed, as no novice level skill at inter-species diplomacy works on a determined predator as well as a .50 caliber handgun.

Another great one Chris! If I ever run into Bigfoot, I'll remember this story which fortunately had a happy ending! Although I doubt he hangs out in the suburbs of Norther Virginia. :)

What a scarey encounter they had. There are so many other encounters that I've heard where if you communicate your peaceful intent somehow, they understand and leave you alone. It's an amazing story. Chris, I'm sure all of us would like to hear if you have had 'animal' encounters on your treks and how you handled them??? I'm glad you safely made it back to your car. I'm looking forward to the next story. Take care and be safe.
