Mate, you must know the health risks associated with mossies so slap some Deet on or one day you’ll come home with malaria as an unwanted souvenir! On a “just in case basis” I always carry a couple of long life MRE’s as a back up, they’ve saved the day for me on several occasions when I’ve been out coastal walking in the UK and haven’t made it to the planned overnight stop. Great video, you’ve got a new subscriber!

@OneLoveDrumz i enjoy the Idiosyncrasies of the english language and this word is one of those words that people scratch their heads about. Most people think "deserted" means its like a desert as in hot with catcus while others think it was inhabited once but abandoned it. There are islands that are so far from civilization and have no reliable source of fresh water that its impossible for anyone to have lived there except for passerby fisherman that stay for a night or 2, but yet they are called "deserted islands" From websters dictionary: "the definition is simply "an island where no people live," so the desert in desert island is actually an archaic form of deserted: it refers to an island that is uninhabited" www.merriam-webster.com/words-at-play/what-is-the-desert-in-desert-island

I’m new to your channel and I really love the camping on uninhabited islands and the catch and cook the fish on the beach. My son and I watch the videos together and would love to see more of the camping vids. Thanks.

Hi, I do the same thing using a jetski. The Whitsundays is good. One of the biggest differences to my loneliness and boredom at times is to take an iPad with a few predownloaded movies and also a comfortable chair. Especially at night. Haven’t done the Keppel area yet.

Outstanding effort Rod in your productions, I was flinching at all the mossies and I would have been out of there in 5 minutes ( could not imagine spending a night - not enough rid or spray) :) keep up the productions won't be long and you will be over 100k scribers. Oh, love the new music I thought I was listening to Fleetwood Mac Tusk at the beginning.

Maybe in your future videos you could show us your selection process of how you pick islands, what you consider when picking and how to make sure you pick the right place based on experience! Love from Vancouver
